Here are some iPhone pics. My brother is bringing me my Canon and I will get some better ones. However, these show the size and the one closeup gives a good representation of the true color.

Size comparison to Medicom Link.

Looks like the t its! Man I've wanted an 18" Chief forever. Can't believe it's finally happened.

Great pictures. I was all in for the 3A version of MC but I think this figure is a better representation of the character. The 3A version looks like a nice figure but not necessarily a nice figure of Master Chief. Something just looks off about it. This one is Master Chief all day.

I was thinking about posting him up next to my game systems as well but my detolfs are half empty now so I think he will go in there until I fill my collection out some. I was afraid that this would look too much like a toy but I think they pulled off the collectable quality.

Agreed! I'm so in for this MC figure. He's definitely next on my list

I think the 3A chief fell prey to a problem that sometimes plagues 1/6 videogame figures; in that it's much, much easier to translate a tv show or movie character because they exist in the real world and their costumes/clothes are subject to real world physics as 1/6 clothes are. Even cgi characters in tv shows/movies need to follow real world physics to seem believable to the audience.

Videogame characters don't really need to do that, that's why some game franchises feature really outlandish costumes that would never work in real life outside of cosplay. Even designs from franchises that feature relatively realistic aesthetics can prove troublesome when translating it into the real world. Take ezio for instance; dude wears like three layers of clothes and has an overall very ornate costume; but the in game model looks all sleek and svelte whilst the costume they used for the live action video series, whilst accurate, ended up looking quite bulky. Same goes for the hot toys figure; decent effort as it was. With some video game designs sculpted really is the way to go.

When putting the peg in the leg for the pistol, be sure to push it ALL the way in or the pistol will stick way out. It takes a lot of pressure, but believe me it will go and makes a world of difference.

Great pictures and thanks for the tip. I saw a video with the pistol sticking out on the peg and I wondered if it could be pushed in further.

I own many many threea items, including the big stuff like real steel robots and alike.
Trust me, this release from neca can't be beat.
3a wont match this sculpt, this size, this weight, this presents... It wont compare.
And for less than half the price.
This us the reference MC.
I can't believe I'm so blown away with mine.

Neca really knocked it out of the park with this guy. Solid weight, fantastic detail, paint apps and articulation. Shelf presence is undeniable. At less then half the price I can live without 3A.

Great picture. I was wondering if he was going to work in a detolf. I'm going to adjust a shelf so that he can stand upright but it's cool to see how he fits without modification.

Great pic and nice to see a detolf pic!

I absolutely love this figure, neca did an awesome job I really hope it sells well so they continue with the line, would love to see noble team

I just got the Arkham Batman from Neca also. While, it looks fantastic it lacks a lot of the articulation that this figure has. If you are on the fence about Master Chief, don't be. The butterfly shoulder hinges, the double jointed elbows, the ankle articulation add so much to the posing possibilities it is crazy. Not to mention the sculpting is unmatched. Still in awe over how great this is for $100.

Wow, he looks incredible! I could imagine the weight and the articulation looks great too. Wish NECA would do a 1/4 marcus Phoenix. Would love to have those 2 watching me while playing some Xbox.

Got mine last night and I am very impressed. This dude is heavy and very well built. I am having some trouble with mine standing on his own. He is so heavy.. The ankles are having trouble holding poses. I might have to find a stand for him. Here are so quick low light pictures I took before bed.

The more I reposition him and pose him the better I am getting at having him stand in his own without tipping. I think I figured out the main culprit.. Left leg is slightly longer than the right one so in a straight upright position he leans slightly to the right.

Still love the figure though!
