So just some quick thoughts with the XM vs Sideshow non-battle battle. Great statues are great statues. Period. If I see an amazing piece by one company, I won't hold back due to brand loyalty. There seems to be a lot of animosity thrown at Sideshow over certain pieces. In addition, there is a movement on the forums to go over to XM. I will buy pieces from both. So why is it that people are in love with a company that makes pieces that are so much more expensive?

I thought about it and read over the posts here and on other threads. I think what customers appreciated about the XM cap is that the production piece matched the prototype shown. To be honest, I don't see the appeal of that one in particular over either of Sideshow's (not trying to upset anyone), but I see the appeal in getting what you paid for. When I look back at old photos done by Sideshow of their pieces, the final product looks exactly like the one in the website. However, this has not been consistent recently. Poison Ivy comes to mind, the skirt on this guy, Sauron (which I love, but could be better), etc. Thus, when I see the proto for Magneto by XM, I feel secure that the final product will hold up. Hence, I will buy it with little trepidation. We should offer criticism to companies when they do not provide the product as advertised. I could buy a couple of cars with the money I have spent on Sideshow products. I don't expect perfection, but I expect better than what we have gotten on some recent statues. With that said, I am really excited about getting this guy next week!

The Carpet came to life.

He must be in Antarctica.

:lol

The majority will agree with that because it makes complete sense. It's nice knowing their are customers out there who are still able to rub two neurons together.

The minority cannot handle it though, instead they are on a quest to take up the sword for Sideshow and whine with commentary such as:

'Don't like it? Don't buy it!'

'Why are you here?!'

and my all time favorite, 'You clearly hate Sideshow!'.

Good luck with your PH Hulk, hope you get a minty fresh one.

He is here! I got #115 my lowest number yet! He is literally a 9-9.5 for me! This thing is HUGE, and I actually got a REALLY great paint app with no missed areas, or severe google eyes. The only thing I feel could be better is the shield highlights, and the darkness of the skirt area.

These are SMALL problems though, and make me have NO bad feelings about this purchase at all! This guy is a keeper for life. I will try to post pictures when I can get out the camera soon, and get some nice shots! I hate cell phones, and they make a lot of things come off a lot uglier then they really are!

Congrats to anyone else who has this coming soon, or in the future! The wait was worth every minute now that it is sitting next to me.

Not going to lie...he's one of the very finest PFs ever released by SSC.

I still think to this day...Skaar PF is the best Marvel statue ever made by SS...with the first Thor PF coming in a solid second place. I still own my SS PF Skaar to this day. He is the only Marvel PF from SS I still own. No plans on getting rid of him either.

Skaar was the first. I love him. He is my favorite Marvel Hero! Ever! Really disappointed in how marvel comics is under utilizing him. My xbox gamertags is based on his name. So I couldn't agree with you more about never getting rid of him.

Although, I really wish I could afford to pose him with his old man.

What's up with the muppet hand??

I totally recognize that hand...steiff_681707_fozzie-bear_norm.jpg

I just threw out a bunch of scrap leather. If I find some more is there anyone on here that can make us some custom skirts?
When I got my Rhino statue their was a member who posted incredible pics of him (all black background) he would make ghulk come to life, I hope he bought one.

I'm guessing this collector looks more like this... 290875656418_7.jpg

Just got mine as well! He is amazing, second statue from SS this week. First was Spider-man now this guy. They are both awesome but this guy is in his own league! He's massive, heavy and the paint app all around is great on him. The base could have used some more love and the belt, but I have no beef with the shield at all and thankfully no googly eyes :hi5: Maybe I'm over excitable because this is my first 1/4 scale statue and I've never seen a grail in person....but this is one happy camper.
