I have to agree that this stinks and it is way more natural to include the coat options as the exclusive. Somehow they managed to use the fan controversy, neverending as it is, to justify two different figures. Who wants two of these? If you have strong feelings about the coat color then you will buy whatever that feeling is. If you don't, like me, I would want to try out both or have the option of switching up the display. People think the coats will be on eBay. Surely they will. But if someone buys two of these and parts one out chances are it is the coat they will keep, thus making the coats pretty darn rare on eBay I think and therefore quite expensive.

There will be a super small window of time to grab a brown coat a-la-carte from places like Toy Anxiety w/o paying e.Bay prices. Once they're gone for good from those retailers, I wouldn't even bother getting one from e.Bay. Think the brown will be going for $60.00 - $80.00, at least, in which case it's not worth it to me. I don't even know for sure that if I had both I'd even switch them out. I'll still try to grab one from TA but if I miss out, I can't say I'll be too disappointed. I'm basically 90% in the blue camp and would've liked a brown 'just because'.

Well, that answers jedibear's question in regards to whether one can order both exclusives. You've got one hell of a brother, Darth. Nice to have the option of getting both. Congrats.

Toy Anxiety will only be able to part out regular Han sets (brown jacket and no clean HS). Demand appears like it is going to be a lot fiercer than I would've thought for a spare brown coat, though. I'll bet the brown coat goes for $30.00, maybe $40.00, tops.

Yeah, I just noticed that the Blue version is ALSO exclusive to Sideshow. That's kinda ****ty. Considering the exclusive Luke comes with three heads. It seems like one coat and one head have comparable value. It's just lame that Sideshow seems like they're going for "ultimate" versions, like everything you need in one box. . . then pull a stunt like this, forcing you to buy two figures if you want everything. I'd think the clean Han head is a bigger draw than the Blue coat, but eh. . .

SDCC has a lot to show for from Sideshow now that some of the big guns are finally coming.

Wait according the SSC website both come with a gearless head. I just got brown since its film accurate,
i dont know if i'll be able to get both han and luke at the same time though.

That's the thing. I'm almost certain that both coats won't be EXACTLY the same on the final product. It's 11 months away and there is almost always small changes and minor tweaking between the proto and the final product. If you like both colours it's better to wait and see what they look like in November.
