IMO the silver is too bright, makes the shoulder armor look too cheap.

If I get this, maybe repaint to a metallic or chrome silver. :lecture

Re: NECA: 1/4 The Avengers

Has anyone dealt with Midtown Comics? They have it for pre order..just seeing.

I used to get comics from them a few years back and had no issues. Back when I'd buy physical comics. Pretty much the biggest comic shop in the nation.

Re: NECA: 1/4 The Avengers

Why oh why can't anyone include a set of hands for the repulsor pose. If your own promo pics make the pose look awkward, mold another set of hands, bump the price by $5, and give us a way to make the pose everyone wants.

Jeebus. This shouldn't be that hard.

Re: NECA: 1/4 The Avengers

So what does this set of hands for the repulsor pose look like exactly?

I only ask as I thought that was what was included with the 18" IM figure...???

A set of hands that is angled back at the ball joint, so you can do the pose with him shooting the repulsor while keeping the arm straight. The open hands that come with most figures can't be bent back far enough at the wrist which is why the elbow is always bent for that pose.

Re: NECA: 1/4 The Avengers

That's not a hand pose issue, it's a wrist joint issue.

Realistically, a wrist joint can't be made to do that w/o negatively affecting the design/sculpt of the hand and thus they don't do it.

I've used a dremel to simply dremel the edge off of some ball-n-socket joints (necks mostly) to allow for a greater range of poseability. That said, I'm guessing that won't work for most wrists as most wrists are ratchet or tab joints and not ball-n-socket.

well over $100 including shipping for most places is the going rate.

I was never really impressed with NECA but this is a piece that I couldnt pass up. At $100, I think a 1/4 scale VII is a good deal considering hot toys prices.

Re: NECA: 1/4 The Avengers

Now I'm gonna sound like a whiny person. I wish NECA would do a Mark I-VI as well!
