I am so stupidly jealous of that Plastic Man. He was the one figure I wanted from that line but could never find as a kid.

Fricken Brainiac! I went through like 5 of them when I was a kid because the arms or legs would break off like nothing!

Yup. I had him as a kid and his leg broke off. If I'm recalling correcty, he's a lot lighter than the other figures so Kenner must've used an inferior plastic.

There were a few I didn't have and he was one of them. Maybe he was short packed cause I would've gotten him if I saw him.

(Kenner Superpowers Pics)

Awesome stuff, Nintenjoe. I kind of forget how many of these we had as kids back in the day...

I've only got a loose Batman now, and would like to get at least Superman and Wonder Woman as well, but I have fond memories of most of those. Probably gonna have to get them all at some point, or at least the ones I owned back in the day. :)

Nice specimens Nintenjoe. Gotta say I'm really jealous of that vintage Ninjor and Scare-Glow. I've wanted both of those carded for a while now.

Yeah, the Super Powers figures were / are legendary. :rock

Nice group acquisition all round Joe - I've gotta get a nice carded set of Superman, Lex, Wonder Woman, Batman, Joker, Penguin & Green Lantern!

I think Kenner had to use a more porous plastic because of the silver paint.

That's possible. I have no idea for sure. I was just speculating.

Thanks for the comments guys!

DPrime - Super Powers and MOTU were/are my 2 favorite 80's lines. I have a lot of memories playing with them.

sithjedi171 - I actually owned both of them graded but I'm replacing all my graded stuff with C9 or better moc/misb.

VintijDroidGutzz - I still need to pick up Batman, Robin, Darkseid & Red Tornado for a complete MOC American set. I may seek out the Argentinian exclusive Riddler too. I also want to get a mint Clark Kent with Kenner bag.

Man - that kind of a haul would just not be possible here in Australia, unless a hardcore mint collector decided they'd had enough one day or something.. :thud: :lol

The only true vintage items I own currently, are about 45 or so nice condition loose Kenner SW figures. I've been slowly trying to complete the standard set of 92 since about 2005. :lol

I think a lot will agree with me, when I say that the old days were special. Not convoluted like the toy industry is now. We were fortunate to be kids then, because we've seen the evolution of things, & also appreciate both eras for their good & bad.

Still, today's youngsters won't have the memories we do. :)

I forgot about the M.U.S.C.L.E. I picked up.

And if you guys want to see all the Star Wars I picked up, you can check out this link...

Awesome! Don't know if you know a lot about M.U.S.C.L.E. or not... but I'd recommend a thorough inspection of your trashcans (w/o opening them) to see if the rare Satan Cross figure is visible. It's the only official non-poster figure released in cans and 4-packs and alone it can sell for $50, but in a sealed can (if you are lucky enough for it to be in one, and it be visible) could easily sell for hundreds.

Generally you'd only be able to make out figures on the top and bottom... but if you shake it around you can sometimes see the others.

I do know about that figure but haven't looked for him yet. Unfortunately, every single garbage can was opened by the original owner. :cuckoo: Don't ask me why. I'll eventually go through them all when I get a chance.

If you have a Satan Cross, I'm interested.

Bummer... still a valuable figure if you have one and the cans will bring a bit of a premium, but being opened kills much of the value.

Yeah, nothing gets me angrier than all those stupid, short-sighted children who open their toys. :cuss

Thanks but if I do have one, I'll most likely keep it.

Yeah when I first saw them I was super excited but then I noticed they were all opened. :monkey2

It was actually an old man's collection. He was in his 70's and passed away a few months ago. The family was just trying to get rid of everything cause it was taking up too much space.
