Well...depends on what to you is accurate. If you think whats on screen in the movie is accurate...then yes, it is. However, if you think that the costume itself, without lighting, or effects is accurate....then no...

Well obviously I mean "Accurate" as in what's seen on screen. If you consider what's NOT on screen as accurate i.e. how a costume, etc. really looks in real life, then I guess you would've had no problem with..

I don't think so. No one would. I like the "Brown" version of the HT "Aliens" figure. I'm assuming that's your version of "Accurate" right? Cool. But I don't think most people would be happy with a HT Queen alien with that paint scheme.. and I don't think people would've been cool with that version being THE only version HT put out for the "Aliens" Alien.

Yes, looks like majority of the body is re-used from the 1st Alien figure.

What really annoys me are the pipes attached at the back of his jaw, they shouldn't be that way. In Aliens, Cameron modified the Alien warrior's head, and he blended those pipe things into his neck, they didn't stick out like that, except for Scott's Alien.

The thing is, you're not going to find that many differences between the Giger Alien and the Cameron Alien.

The major changes are represented in the NECA sculpt...the head, the hands, the arm fins and the feet. Otherwise, it was the same anyway. So, reusing the body makes sense.

Wow! I didn't know Neca was making an Aliens alien. I still need to find the alien alien! I'm usually pretty in the loop on Neca stuff, but they've had some poor comminication lately.

Frank & Sons if you live in SoCal has tons of them in both sizes including the fogged dome variant.

Agreed, but it's not a difficult change. Here's the 1:1 by Stan Winston Studios.

My only complaint with this figure is that they should have resculpted the shoulders and upper arms because they look too big for this alien version and make the head look a bit smaller than it should even thought it's the same as the Alien without the dome which makes it accurate.

Oh I agree. But people consider accuracy to be the actual prop. See the Alien threads....

Well, the blue looks rather unfortunate, but no worse than the HT Aliens warrior, so I'm not too upset.
A little dry-brushing will help this one out a lot.
