For me, no other explanation that they changed factory.

Yeah, cancelled mine as well. Disappointing, but seem to be a lot of issues with this. Don't have the time or desire to go over a piece with a fine tooth comb to identify any damage, malfunctioning parts and then have to repackage and ship back.
For $800+, this should be a premium, well designed piece...seems more like an afterthought, lazy money grab

Mine arrived today. After 1/4 Darkseid and Justice Mobile, I was expecting a bigger box. So far so good. Haven't tried the wheels yet but they certainly aren't broken out of the box. Seats, panels and bodywork seem perfect.

You have to pull them out and hover convert them to see if they are broken.

Oh, the ones I've seen the wheel was hanging down slightly even in the stowed position.

EDIT: Just checked them all. None are broken. Three turn over fine. One rear one, the wire is a bit tight by about 2-3mm and stops the wheel from folding completely.

Looks like you have a similar issue as my replacement. Luckily, opening up the wheel is straightforward and not hard to fix. Good luck! I’m glad everything else is good with yours. The panel gaps and door sticking out 1-2mm has been an eye sore for me.

Debating whether to keep my order...

In the meantime, how much clearance is there under the hood? Wondering if something like the smart switchbot device can do the automatic button presses to put it in the right mode once the power is on.

WIthout massive modification, there's no chance sorry.

Funny how hot toys has zero consideration for user friendly features.
It must be a given that a lot of people have their collection behind some sort of casing and large vehicles are likely to end up on the bottom or top of most shelving, which makes them less convenient to frequently access to turn lights on and off.
A remote or even a control panel attached to the usb power cable allowing for on/off and cycling through settings would obviously be far more convenient and is hardly new or complicated technology.

Hell, even having it so a power cycle alternates the lighting options or sticks to the same one would be enough. It's not asking much. The cheap LED spots from amazon even do that.
