The different photos are showing a flawed figure with potential.

That body is aweful. So now the hunt begins for one that will FIT the current clothing…that was a huge issue with Furiosa….those pants wear very hard to fit on the big booty phicen bodies.

The paint apps already look really really different from pic to pic, some look very toy like, others look decent.

This is going to be a project for sure.

Maybe a 3D printed should pad someone could do?

Wez is what we used to call... stout.

Barrel chested even.

No doubt those terms offend youngsters now, or make them uneasy in some way.

I hope this figure makes them uneasy.
It's called a DAD-BOD. He was like many beefy beer bloated burly strongmen of the time and era before. Not fit or muscular the way we think of today.

Looks dreadful! This reminds me of their Max figure that was all over the place and only good for harvesting parts for a kit bash.

You can see from the shin guards butting up and under the knee pads that the body is scaled all wrong for the parts. How can a release look so different from the promo pics - I mean, the prototype from the promo exists somewhere. So much can be lost through manufacturing, which is really outsourcing to different factories.

It looks like most of the parts are the same as what we see in the promo - the plastic parts are the right size and weight and the leather seems to be the same thickness and tailoring. It's the body and maybe the hands and feet that are all under-scaled. The head sculpt just makes it, but even the rooted hair looks thin sparse and cheap. I can't deal with those unglamorous feathers that look like they were plucked from a dollar store duster.

So anyone have ideas on a good replacement body?

VTS had some good ones at one time, good meaning wide in the middle. Not sure the forearms will fit though.

This is what I have in hand for him:

It's the right height for Vernon, but if histrionics is right about the parts being made for a bigger body, then it might not work.

I have a taller, bulkier muscle body from a CraftOne Heat figure that would make a not-Wez for Immortan Joe's army.

I'm more concerned with the parts being made for a slimmer body.

Getting the crossbow gauntlet on a thicker forearm could be a problem -- or require lots of heat which might end up melting the cross bow arms.

The pants have some stretch. Like the Furiosa situation, they need to be stretched out anyway.

But the waist on the pants could pose a problem if they have no give.

The right-side gauntlet and the shin guards all have give and straps to tighten, so no problems there. Same for the torso. The chest gear needs to be reworked so we'll see.

Going to be a fun project...

The crossbow has straps too. Are they just decorative? Have Premier moulded the crossbow mounting piece to the gauntlet?

I used to use a hairdryer for softening parts to make them fit, but now always use a bowl of hot water since there's no chance of accidentally melting anything.

I'm going to try and hack a body together from my spares first, but I'm really thinking a fat-pack to create a belly shape under the midrif pieces would go a long way to filling out the shape. Even just a some folded fabric would work.

a fat-pack to create a belly shape under the midrif

He's hefty but not fat... and no real belly...

These two pics really show off where the shoulder pads went wrong... and how much of a change it will have on the final product to fix this.

Also, maybe no elbow wrap on the left elbow.

Yeah, but that's what I mean, he shouldn't be cut in at the stomach. The angles on the figure at the sides should be straight, not cinched in.

Some fabric to pad that midsection out would help a lot.

Fortunately, the 6 straps in the back will allow this easily... the same didn't work for Immortan Joe. There was no way to fatten him up and still use the supplied clear-armor.

The stitchline on the pants is what worries me about widening the pants with a thicker body. Hopefully the pants stretch.
