That's a good question -- I've always assumed you'd get both in one pack but more logical to have two separate releases again, variants A and B.

The Joker came with that large dehydration machine... I wonder what larger item Riddler will have? Or maybe he will come with the spandex suit after all.

I hope it's one figure. Both costumes are iconic. The spandex is the classic comic costume, but the suit originated in the TV show and has become the standard costume for the Ridler ever since, so both costumes are definitive looks for the character. Tough choice. The suit version also includes the iconic bowler hat too. If I had to make a choice, I might go with the spandex.

Definitely a hard call -- on both this and the Carrey version.

Unitard vs Suit

I'll likely go suit just because there's a little more going on with the full suit -- plus I like that sneering headsculpt, which works better with the suit for me.

I haven't decided on the Carrey version. It looks pretty good tho. I wish they would show Two Face already.

Hot Toys has set a bad precedent on the Batman Forever figures. Now the wife says the Mars Toys male villains need to be as well endowed as the Hot Toys Batman and Robin. "Otherwise, don't bother", she says. What chutzpah.

I might have to go in with both looks for him. The spandex is essential in my opinion, as that is the iconic look from the show, but damn if that suit isn't awesome. Best case scenario we get a single figure with both outfits and multiple heads. Given the simplicity of the spandex it could be justifiable, but based on how they handled Joker I don't expect that.

Frankie Gorshin will turn over in his grave if Mars Toys does not provide both suits in the one package. Let the dead rest in peace, Mars Toys.
That's absolutely true. Would be a damn shame if they showed such disrespect to the clear wishes of the departed. Don't be a Mr. Bungle, Mars Toys.

I was thinking about what accessories can be included with this figure, when I realized that Gorshin never used the question mark cane, which is strange because I thought I saw him holding it. It must be a Mandela effect situation. It turns out it was John Austin who used the cane for the first time, which became one of the Riddler's signature gimmicks in the comics too.

Anyway, just a little bit of trivia. Speaking of which, some websites claim Penguin had the most guess appearances with 20, but I counted Joker's episode, and he too was featured in 20 episodes, so I don't know what to believe. You'd think Riddler would have been in more episode than Penguin, but I guess not. Having said that, I do believe Riddler was more popular than Penguin. He and Joker were neck and neck, IMO. It's a shame Riddler's popularity declined after Gorshin's iconic performance.

Interesting about the Riddler cane.

Penguin was actually my favorite villain as a kid. Then Mr. Freeze. I never cared for all the laughing from Joker and Riddler as a little tyke. They grew on me in later years.
Burgess Meredith brought so much life to that character! Catwoman remains unmatched in my pubescent eyes though...

Funny, I was just watching that John Astin episode on Blue Ray over the weekend and noticed the cane - AND thought how cool it would be to go with the figure. Does not matter to me if Gorshin never held it on screen

Hoping that we get both the suit and spandex outfits in one package like others have mentioned. If I have to choose though it’ll be the spandex most likely.
