Pretty cool to see the articulation in action; i’m impressed with how far the arms can go and the shoulder shrug etc hidden in the body.

Yes, that's quite a bit more articulation than I was expecting....and probably more than one should utilize, new & improved material or not lol. As someone else mentioned previously, the neck seems overly long. I'm not sure if that's due to the sculpted hair not hiding it as well but it's definitely more apparent than on any of the previous versions of her.

BTW, am I the only one to notice the divot in her left leg? It's high on her thigh near the skirt line and was pretty glaring when he was demonstrating the leg articulation. Leave it to Sideshow to showcase a figure with a material flaw lol...

Sorry I spoke.

When I said "lazy" I meant given the delay, that head sculpt should be a LOT more accurate. New body aside.

Nevermind. Some of you people are easily triggered by a simple question.

I think it's okay, everyone can speak up their mind here.

Some will agree and some will not.
Regarding your comment, if it's viewed in the scope of how long it takes to release this and the end result of the headsculpt..
well, it's either they are lazy or they just can't do a good Gadot likeness.
I know the GA one has the best Gadot likeness but for this one, HT is tasking the headsculpt to a different sculptor, so it would be a downer and disrespectful for the sculptor if HT just decided to just reuse the GA headsculpt anyway, maybe..

The new Doc Brown one.. now that's pure lazyness. XD

I honestly had no interest in this figure before (other than picking up the tiara to pair with the Golden Armor head sculpt), but after seeing the final product photos, I'm actually considering picking it up to replace my JL figure. I still have no intention to use the stock head sculpt because of the sculpted hair, but that's what the GA head sculpt is for (and for my money, it's the best likeness to date).

The plan was to use the GA head (plus this tiara!) on my JL figure, but it doesn't really fit the JL body without any mods (the head sits too high, and the skin tones don't match). I'm going back and forth on whether or not I'll keep WW in the Golden Armor or classic red/blue suit for my collection, but I'm leaning toward the latter. Between the new silicone body with improved muscle definition and the more vibrant armor, this figure feels like an improvement over the JL one in almost every way (except the accessories...). Fortunately, I do have the sword/shield from the Training Armor release, so I have a (better) set of weapons either way.

There was one early video (with poor lighting) that showed this figure with different head sculpts (stock, JL, and GA), but I'm just waiting on more videos/photos of the figure with the GA sculpt to make sure that the skin tones match (it did look like it sits at the same height as the stock head, which works).

I'd say, if you're overly fond of the character it's okay to keep all the figures :D:monkey3

Major improvement for sure, but the headsculpt is a downgrade from the Golden Armor version, which came out first. That's the most disappointing aspect of this release.

Oh I preordered it, Zurdo.. With a hope that HT will improve the headsculpt to be the same or at least better than the GA one. But it's not, so I'm sticking to my original plan, using the GA headsculpt with this version's body and tiara, and put a custom Gadot headsculpt with helmet on my GA version.
Win win!

Ah gotcha! Good plan! I'll be curious to see how the GA's head sculpt with a tiara will look like on this figure.

Well this is looking really cool I have to say.
And I am glad that Hot Toys has developed a different body for this release.

I am also really happy to see that what looked like excessive “weathering” on the breast area of the armor doesn’t look as severe as I initially thought. Based on some of the recent photos and videos here, it seems like viewing angle and lighting have a lot of impact on how prominent the weathering looks.

So even though I think InArt is going to do an amazing job with their Version, I think I will be more than satisfied with this as my only Wonder Woman figure

Agreed! This looks like a fine release indeed! Yeah based on some of the photos it appears the weathering on her bosom isn't so prominent, depending on the lighting (I suppose with brighter, harsher it would look more pronounced).

I'm sure IA's is going to look stellar, but it seems like it's a ways away and we have this HT version we can enjoy for the time being.

I have this on preorder and overall I am happy enough to keep it. I currently own the BvS Wonder Woman and purchased the Justice League head for it which I thought looks better than the BvS one.
This Wonder Woman looks much better to me than either BvS it JL. I do think the GA head sculpt looks more like Gal than this one does, but this is still a nice representation of a comic Wonder Woman.
When Inart eventually shows off their version I am sure it will look better and If so, I will order it. in the interim, I’ll have enjoyed having the one on the shelf for awhile.

Yeah the golden armor head looked great but man that rooted hair is nightmarish. It just looks like cheap doll hair. If they did rooted hair well, that’d be different, but then it’d likely cost a lot more as well.

Is there a benefit to silicone over rubber as a material for the body? Other than the aesthetic, does it last longer or bend easier?

As far as i’m aware silicone is more durable, especially with posing.

If you watch Terry’s weekly videos he may bring it up. He does talk about the absolute stress of doing these videos sometimes.

Not sure about the posing, but silicone generally lasts a lot longer and is more resistant to heat and light.

Does she have the metal inner skeleton like bane?
I saw a review on youtube and she is apparently very heavy in comparison to older WW figures, which makes her more stable when standing or posing.

It probably came from the point of the bottom of the W belt she‘s wearing, the bottom tip poked the skin material

IDK, I suppose that’s possible, but it looks like they’d have had to put her in a Rockettes chorus line kicking pose for that to be the case lol. I’m thinking it’s from the manufacturing process. I’ve seen similar flaws on Phicen bodies.

Of course you'd say that! :lol

Yep, that's the video/pose I saw before. The colors are all off, so it's hard to tell how well the skin tones match, but it generally looks good. I did an A/B comparison with the pose with the stock head in that video, and both 1984 heads sit at the same height, so that's positive. The neck still looks a bit too long, but it's better than how the head looks on the JL body.
