I might be wrong but they are probably waiting near the Flash movie to finally announce the "reissue" of this guy
ill scream if they reissue him with all of the flaws he has a decade ago, but I'm going to be honest. ill be shocked if they release him over whatever keaton is wearing now in the new flash movie. if he's still a brick of a figure without modifications so he is able to move his arms comfortably without them going back because of the rubber and fat suit. ill accept a 2.0 if they're revisiting 89. a lazy reissue with a new dio base and calling it done is unacceptable. that mk5 with the new dio while the mk5 just came out is an absolute slap to the face to collectors who just acquired the figure

Yep this was terrible.

Also I do think if they were release/revise they might do both suits, this and the Flash suit. I just can't see why they would tease it without releasing the thing considering it's Batman and not a random character

a lot of people are going to be very happy if 89 does come out again, probably not some collectors that probably paid a leg for this figure. ill be happy if it comes out again, might pick up another one to make him battle damaged during the final moments in the movie. they've been known to tease things and never follow up, but who even knows. it foggy to try to understand hot toys when padme just came out, it'll give people hope that others will join the pre order list. but I'm not buying it, part of me thinks they just pulled it out of storage and plopped it down for people to see. its still riddled with the awful trashbag cape

I'm one of those that paid a lot for this figure and i don't mind if it gets re issued. Admittedly i was a little annoyed when the reissue was rumoured as i had JUST bought the figure the week before that lol. Talk about bad timing. But that base and bat computer would be cool to get, so i don't mind getting a second one. If they make improvements, even better. I paid even more for the joker, but i don't think he'll ever be re issued. I thought it was funny the bat computers had the one frame of the smilex ad that didn't have jokers face on it, that told me everything i needed to know about Nicholson ever getting re issued. Besides, if there is a re issue it's years away. So I'm not mad i caved for the old figure. It's still a great figure, theres things they could improve but i doubt they will. The one that was on display had broken PERS as well as someone pointed out.

Who knows at this rate, even as a seller it’s hard to gauge the tipping point of this figure because of the reissue And given the current state of DC at the moment, especially with Flash there’s no way to guess on where will things go from here at all if any, to be honest, all i hear is cancel, shelved, cancel, etc.

After the reveal of the Fash Batman new suit and Batwing , I don’t see HT putting effort on 89 stuff anymore.
But who knows, I’m maybe wrong…

A re-issue should be easy money for them. If they released a Kilmer Bats with Robin I don't see why they wouldn't capitalize on a straight re-do.

Will there really be more interest in 70 year old Keaton with his new suit than the classic 89 and Returns looks? I'm finding that hard to believe especially now it seems events in the Flash won't lead to anything.

A 2.0 with that diorama base would sell in great numbers.

Looking at the last Spider-Man with the snowy diorama shows what they could do with a new Returns Keaton and Michelle Pfeiffer Catwoman. Yeah I'm dreaming now.

I honestly think there would be more interest and respect for old-man DarKeaton Returns Batman , if they detached it from the Flash movie, and developed what they could as it's own thing.
Somehow extricate and salvage his scenes as their own stand alone mini-episode, released similar to a Marvel/D+ streaming "Special Edition" featurette, and made it genuinely about continuing Burton's Batman legacy.

Further it's a shame DisMar snagged Pfeiffer, while WB as usual completely asleep at the wheel (or busy reinventing their wheel with forced woke crap), could already have an Alt U Keaton and Pfeiffer mentoring a young legacy in Huntress ( a strong established fem legacy E2 character whose been around since 1977) and pitched it to Burton as a viable continuing of that U.
Meanwhile derivative "reimagined" crap gets trotted out as innovative.

Personally I have no faith in this new movie. I just hope Keaton didn’t felt in a trap and hope the movie is not too crap.
I already know I won’t have any interest in this line if figures are made. Never like the Flash character and don’t like the new Batman suit.

If there is a DX09 reissue, don’t think I will buy it as I already got 2. One standard and one Battle Damaged.
If it’ll see the light of day, I hope they won’t overscale it like the Forever too keep the scale with Joker or the Batmobile
Just wish they will produce the Batcave, cathedral base and 1/12 Batwing.

They rejected a Batman Beyond pitch with Keaton's Batman. That's... that's like the BEST case scenario for a Keaton return and they said "nah, let's only put him in this multiverse paradox movie with Ezra Miller and a low-budget Batgirl film we had so little faith in we can cancel it after it's done filming".

Keaton Batman is the ONLY thing I'm interested in for the Flash movie, so I'm more than happy to just YouTube the "all Keaton clips" down the line.

That said, 89 Batman is still widely loved (hence why they even are bringing him back, and he's a key selling point to salvage their Flash movie). They even continued the 89 universe in comic form from the original screenwriter lately.

(It's a pretty solid read too. Would have loved a film adaptation, in an alternate universe.) Give me that '89 Batman re-release.

Batman Beyond's Batman is very much it's own thing, if anything pulled more from the likes of Frank Miller's old Man Batman (aka the grizzled Eastwood/Callahan take). Or more so literally repurposed Old man Zorro [which had just come out] passing his legacy to the next gen.
Shot for shot the Young Acolyte without the means to avenge his lost family member, about to recklessly get his ass kicked....
Enter the Old Master, to train him, and open his mind to a greater quest and purpose.

Shoehorning Burton/Keaton's Batman into Bruce Timm's unique future vision would have been a somewhat forced fit for all the wrong reasons, and a Batman Beyond narrative and visual, evolved into a very different style from Burtons.

However Burton's Keaton & Pfeiffer dynamic, spun off to it's own style and legacy, I can see them repurposing and really making their own, using the Batman & Catwoman original heir; The E2 Huntress, to great effect.
With Keaton & Pfeiffer best lending to Burtons unique style in passing the legacy.

The two and their end were set-up for it.

This I agree with, hence suggesting/wishing they could salvage and extricate it from the Flash, and make it it's own thing.
Sadly there is no vision for that in the current WB/DC corporate, or the fandom who support it.

All for it^, yet that's continuing Keaton depicted in his prime though.
More referencing a live action 70+ year old Keaton revisiting the Burton U, and how to best (or not) depict him and to what ends.
I think the hypothetical Earth-2 type daughter of Keaton & Pfeiffer's Batman & Catwoman re-imagined Burton style, would make more sense as a Burton Universe legacy, than Terry McGinnis.

Forever figures took literally forever to get here so I’m not holding out hope, from April of last year to literally late December to be released.

Does anyone know where you can get replacement pers eyeballs?

I bought a dx09 with broken pers but whoever had it before must have tried to poke the eyes out and scratched the eyeballs, other than that its absolutely mint which is weird. I have replaced the scratched eyes with ones from a dx12 cowl which has worked perfectly but they are brown and they should be blue like Keatons.
