Looks like your Target got hit by a part swapper. Looks his belt/sash is also missing. Weird figure to be doing some return swindles with.

Separated at birth? :lol

I got a chance to open up my Mindbender and Serpentor today! My Mindbender does have the "shoulder-cape rub off" thing that everyone has been talking about. It sucks, but the position I have him displayed, it's not going to bother me. I was TERRIFIED about the horror stories of Serpentor being "too tight" in the elbows, so I rinsed each joint with hot water for about 15 seconds. I've got him in the position I want him in, and I'm not going to futz with him anymore.

That being said, what an incredible figure Serpentor is!! I'll forever be Team CoCo but I have to give Hasbro big props on Serps! I should get Dusty and Zarana sometime next week to finish off 2022, but so far, Serpentor is my Figure of the Year! I'm sticking with the classic cowl look even though both choices are incredible. And the Air Chariot!! What an absolute BEAST! Pics do not do it justice! The $80 price point is a little high, but I personally think it's worth every penny. I still would have picked one up for $100! I appreciate them putting foot pegs on the Chariot as it is now the most gorgeous figure stand I've ever seen!

Congrats to those who got it or will get it.

To make it hyper realistic to the 80's, break off one of his thumbs. LOL.

Or glue his torso to his waist together. Remember when kids couldn't fix the broken rubber O ring problem, they just super glued the torso to the waist/codpiece?

I remember kids would "Frankenstein" some Joes together with broken parts, especially if they had a dog. Dogs loved to chew on 4 inch Joes . Once you got that little screw out the back, you could assemble a functional Joe out of the still salvageable parts.

There were no high end video games back then, all you had was your imagination. I remember getting some string and making zip lines or using a sheet of plastic and trying to make a parachute.

You just had to play. No worries about groceries, gas prices, career, taxes, in laws, marriages, etc, etc.

God, I really miss those times. I feel bad for kids today who will never understand that era.

Or break off the crotch. I had far more of those than broken thumbs.

I've actually never seen an O-ring figure glued together at the waist. I do recall taking some of mine apart and fixing them with rubber bands or my sister's hair elastics.

I definitely frankensteined figures, but that was more boredom from '88 onwards as I didn't like the new Joe figures. I disassembled almost all of my original Joes and made new figures out of them by swapping parts. As a result, almost none survived my childhood. I think the only ones that ended up surviving were my '85 Snake Eyes and hooded Cobra Commander since I was able to find all of their original parts.

LOL

I remember playing with another kid, and we'd use twigs to show figures getting impaled in the broken crotch, or the belly (if you stretched the waist up where the O ring was located) or in the back, where the backpack peg was located.

He had a Storm Shadow, and he'd always use a broken figure to simulate the ninja cutting a guy in half.

Good to still see you around Cryoguns. I remember trading you a Star Wars POTF Y Wing fighter back in the day, when we were both still at the old Warrior Forum. It was one of those maddening Target exclusives. Hope time has been good to you in the past decade when I was gone.

In the last day, I received to what appears to be my final figures of 2022: Cobra Viper 3-pack, Dusty and Zarana. I always like to do a Top 5 list for my favorite Classified figures from each year, and this year is easily going to be the most difficult.

Are they moving away from the window box and doing these closed packages for all the figures now?

Yes, they are virtue signaling and reducing plastic. A swapper's dream. My buddy has already been screwed on multiple ML figures.

I didn't think about the swapping thing.:banghead. What I have never understood is that the plastic Hasbro uses for the windows is recyclable, it has the little symbol on it. So what makes the all cardboard "more" green? Actual question, not sarcasm.

McFarlane's Batmobeast is on sale for 25 bucks right now. Looking at the internals, maybe it can be converted for Classified/Valaverse type figures with some moderate customizing/cutting away. Or reworked into a PAC Rat type system if you mounted guns and missile launchers on it.

Maybe this helps someone here. Good luck.

Serpentor is #1 on my Top 5 Classified of 2022! Great year for Joe, extremely difficult to narrow it down to 5.

Hard for me to pick a top 5 since a few are still sitting in a bin at BBTS, I'm also unsure when what arrived because of the shipping slow down at the beginning of the year and the speed up at the end. Here's mine:
  1. Crimson Guard
  2. B.A.T.
  3. Spirit
  4. Storm Shadow
  5. TF Outback
The Seigies had a major issue with the stiff plastic stressing hips, I heated, popped, and sanded down all the hip ball nubs on my 4 so I didn't have any issue. The rifle maybe wrong for the Seigies but, the people on Classified made a great little mostly accurate not too far embellished gun, a first for this entire line. The rest of the Seigies is just RAH perfection.

The B.A.T. is almost prefect too, it just needed a chest plate with the Cobra symbol on it and a alterative clear chest plate. Still a great RAH accurate figure. My main reason why it's lower is because I like Seigies more.

Spirit is a great release, just missing his groin cape thing, but the rifle, handgun, Eagle, knives, and pack are perfect. The first Joe I don't want to replace anything on.

Storm Shadow is also great, a bit of a nit I have with the shape of his hood up piece and would've liked him to have the wrist wraps, so I'm waiting on the Retro.

Tiger Force Outback is also a great figure once you sand down his balls like the others in this Target excl. wave. The only issue I have is his rifle, it just looks goofy and I really hate the molded hard strap attached to it. My Outback is currently fighting some B.A.T.s with his knife and shovel until the resupply drop from Gridiron sometime in the next couple of months. I hope he ate his Wheaties.

I should mention that the Cobra Officer almost made the list, I'm just not a fan of the hunched over posture of his shoulders and for some reason, the Classified people decided to make his head and helmet larger than the previous Cobra Trooper so there's not much compatibility between the two or with Gridiron Helmets for customs. I still prefer the Cobra Island Trooper.
