I still can’t believe hot toys made a minor character like axe woves before han bespin, mace, padme, greedo, ot C3po, and so on. I don’t want to here about reuse or mandalorian being popular. I’m going to go light myself on fire. Axe woves…

well, when HT can pump out any of those characters with the ease with which they can Mandalorian figures, you will see fifteen Maces. we all know why this is happening, its HT bizness as usual, it wont be changing. Not wanting to hear it makes it no less true.

With that said I will eventually pick this guy back up, if only to pair him with DW Mando - who is still a figure I really love. I want a good coupon and a sale, tho. Experiencing a bit of a HT release logjam here, its a little expensive all at once.

But Greedo is factually a more minor character than Axe :lol. You can't be putting Greedo on the same level as Boba Fett surely.

I don't care about either character though, that's how iconic they are. Greedo is just a green bug guy that shows up for a minute and gets blasted, so cool!
Wait you weren't being sarcastic?? 😂

Greedo is far more iconic than this axe dude my guy.. I mean its not even in the same ball park..

Greedo is about a thousand times more iconic than ******' "Axe Woves" LOL.

Greedo is in no way “iconic”, most people outside of hardcore fans don’t even know his name.

He’s just that weird dude that shows up and gets shot.

They’re both background characters. Not every character from the OT is “iCoNiC”

For me, as a boomer, every alien from cantina is "iconic". Star Wars in a nutshell, also Stormtroopers and Vader. But for 99 % of people, it is exactly as you wrote.

OT fans when the most obscure irrelevant background character just exists

Iconic is definitely a stretch, but interest in background characters is hardly unique to the OT.

We just got Captain Vaughn who is probably about even screentime wise with Greedo, Paz Viszla was more of a minor character when they made him (His box doesn't even have his name :lol ), collectors have been asking for a Two Tubes for a while etc...

I'd be cool with Greedo, likewise I'm cool with Axe

My guess is Axe Woves might play more of a part in season three of The Mandalorian.

That and him being an easy Mando variant is probably why he was made. Plus it completes the Night Owls team.

Probably the biggest complaint I have is that he didn’t get a head sculpt like Bo and Koska.

Look different enough to stand out, i was surprised by Deathwatch one, so no doubt Axes will be the same.

Axes Woves just arrived and he’s pretty awesome.
I‘m using Jango head as a substitute for Axes for now until I can find or print better resemblance.
