I wonder how many people who were outraged that this sold out have still not pulled the trigger on POing now that its back up?
Was trying to avoid doing it on my work computer since I’m in the office today, but might not wait until I’m home and just do it anyway. Don’t want to miss it. Looks much better than GTG, which was my preferred version of the character.

Yup. Too tan like I feared it would be when they showed it off initially.

It may be actually but this picture is VERY exaggerated. There are others with much better white balance and it’s not near that dark. But hey, it’s the internet! Ya get whatever someone wants to serve up as truth.

I know it's already been mentioned before, but it's sort of bittersweet to see how well done this was compared to Gandalf the Grey. You can see how they've boxed these heads up, with a bag over the head, to keep the hair in place. Fortunately, it looks like they've learned quite a bit from that debacle. Just sucks that Gandalf the Grey had to be the guinea pig.

That picture is an outlier considering no other picture makes the skin tone look that dark. It's obviously a lighting issue with that one specific shot.

Pulled the trigger! Happily! Went through BBTS as their shipping is a lot cheaper than Sideshow.

Won't be getting him till probably January, but that's fine for me!

Those pictures are far better! no RastaGandalf! (Thank god) - even the lower skirt section looks like a more subdued colour there then it does in other photos.
Very happy its back in stock for you fellas that are anxious to buy this chap.
Please share some pics!
I still have to decide whether this is one I'm gonna jump on. I know I'm eventually gonna have to draw a line somewhere - but is this the place to do it?
I have always liked both versions of Gandalf and I like that Shadowfax is included.... but this is a lot of money right now....

I hope we see an in hand review soon, not pulling the trigger until I've seen one.

Based on the latest pictures its looking good though and I'm very tempted but at $380+shipping can't take any chances.

I take it the little patch of grass on his stand is the Minas Tirith Citadel

It can’t be Fangorn. That’d way more grubby and Gandalf reveals himself atop a big rock.

I may have preferred white stone instead to keep everything crisp and white and to more clearly place him at Minas Tirith, which is the location I most associate with GTW.

But it’s nice enough. I wonder if this crotch stand pole will be the first of that design to securely fit in its slot.
I’m still waiting on that next little innovation to use clear acrylic tubes.

Buying from SS from Spain means paying hundreds of euros in shipping, import fees and absurd commissions from fedex or ups, the same with asmus store.

That Asmus's GtW is a closer likeness to Gandalf than InArt with their GtG, I assume.
Do you really see more of a McKellen likeness is GTW though?

The point is not if we see more McKellen, it is if we see more Gandalf, he had heavy makeup, the beard, and prosthetics.
I think the larger nose, the severe brow, and the deep-set eyes as well as the cheeks on Asmus's rendition are more evocative of Gandalf, at least to me, than what InArt produced.
