Retirement piece. My normal yearly budget would go this one piece. Just as well as Im just about out of space. Haha.

Just few days back I was telling my wife I won’t order any JND piece because of price. Only exception would be a JL WW, but “don’t worry, it will take long time for that release”… 😑😒

Will be interesting how they handle silicone for all the exposed limbs since they said they're developing a way to do it for this piece.

Pretty sure with will be WAY out of my price range, but eager to see it none the less.

Doesn't we see just as much exposed skin on their Harley statue? I'm not really understanding the need for this to be some extra special "platinum" statue.

Are all the exposed skin areas on the Harley statue made of silicone, though? I honestly don't know which is why I'm asking.

JND seemed to make a point of this "platinum" WW piece having silicone all over as if that's part of what's setting it apart as well as the artists not necessarily having a money cap to stunt what they're truly capable of, I guess.

Not the ideal pose I would have liked although it looks phenomenal regardless, but day one preorder, hopefully the price is 3k under, otherwise might not be able to, but definitely yes if so.

Although I have to say, I'm not entirely sure what about this statue would put it in their platinum line. Harley Quinn seems the most complex for them. Perhaps research and development into holding weapons that are hopefully metal and stronger silicone that doesn't wobble as much?

Two videos just to announce and talk about new Platinum line.

They release the teaser and no mention about new Platinum line.

😅

Afraid about the price tag.

Hope they're using real leather on the harness and anywhere else that warrants it. Given that it's called "platinum," there should be more than just some sort of special silicone that's supposedly better than what they're using for the regular line.

Where did you hear the silicone was better on this line? AFAIK they already use platinum silicone.

The silicone starting with Nolan Batman is the new grade moving forward I thought they said. Or was that the painting technique that was mentioned?

If I remember correctly, they mentioned it in one of the recent videos. They mentioned how they wanted to use a silicone that wouldn’t be so “squishy” for lack of a better term. This next part is my speculation-seeing how the bat on the Harley Quinn piece needed friction tape (or some kind of adhesive i believe) to hold it in her hand to keep it from falling, and this WW piece is holding her shield and sword (which are both probably heavier than HQ’s bat) they probably needed a silicone that was a bit more sturdy to avoid having to do that again. Or maybe they will be putting an armature in certain parts (like the hands) so they can hold the weapons better. With the pose they’re going for, gravity will really be working against them to pull the weapons out of the hands

That’s the painting technique I believe which they mentioned again in the latest Production Sample video for the Nolan Batman.
