Totally, fantastic writing and character development. I don’t think the dragon fights will overshadow the story, the writing is just too good. There are some awesome dragons coming up soon though. Look out for Vhagar the beast of beasts.

I just binged GOT in 3 weeks great stuff best TV anything ever made. That’s correct first time I watched GOT. :slap

I didn’t read the GOT books and binged it so S8 didn’t ruin my life and certainly didn’t ruin my overall impression of the show.

HOTD while not bad I do feel the intrigue is too on the nose and very 1 dimensional it’s missing all the nuances from GOT.

HOTD is missing “littlefinger” lol

I’ll keep watching HOTD though shame that hot Australian actress is leaving.

I liked the dragon in the fog and smoke it gave off Frazetta Conan the Barbarian vibes.

You know what’s really crazy the fact that Game of Thrones has higher current views than the already high HOTD!

On the Nielsen Streaming Top 10 chart between Aug. 22 to 28, “House of the Dragon” ranked sixth place, with 741 million minutes viewed.

“Game of Thrones” took the third spot, with 909 million minutes of viewing time on HBO Max. The parent is currently outperforming its child.

I'm loving House of the Dragon. Haven't watched a single minute of Rings of Power. Considering giving GOT another shot. I only ever watched the first episode but at the time it didn't seem like my cup of tea.

Andor feels like The Mandalorian without Mando, Grogu...or any action whatsoever. In other words super boring with no one interesting to root for or against.

For the first time in my life I paused a live-action SW story (halfway through the second episode) and simply quit watching due to lack of interest.

The days of SW being a must see event have apparently finally come to an end for me. I'll probably binge the rest after the season ends...or not, lol.

In other news I can't wait for HOD tonight, lol.

I still haven't watched it. Well, I've put the first episode on twice but I'm on heavy painkillers and muscle-relaxants at the moment and I'm assuming those are why I've fallen asleep both times. :lol

I've worn down some neck discs and have a bony growth putting pressure on a nerve according to my recent MRI. The most persistent, stubborn and bothersome pain I've ever experienced.

Oh man sorry to hear that, I hope it clears up soon!

I second what Khev said - look after yourself mate !!!

If ANYONE should have that issue, it's me (hundreds of heavy rock/metal concerts over the years, with a fair bit of head-wobbling going on!)

Yeah - I have ZERO interest in "Andor" (although I did like "Rogue One"). Never watched (and never will watch) that "Kenobi" thing they did either.

YIKES. That sounds like the same nerve I had an issue with but worse. What have the pros suggested?

The information I have right now I got when I was in fact just calling to ask for a renewed painkiller prescription because I had already booked a new in-person appointment, which is tomorrow. I'm hoping it's just gonna be a case of her telling me the exact information to give to the physiotherapist (who I had not yet booked in with pending the MRI). The doctor I spoke to on the phone said he doesn't think I would be a surgical case - the idea of surgery had never crossed my mind at all so I was surprised when he even mentioned that. He said physiotherapy is the next step and failing that I'd be going to a pain specialist. :dunno
