Really, all you need to know is that they like to fight amongst themselves [much like humans everywhere]. Not all Mandos are good, far from it - and a bad one is a thing to fear, for sure. Din will have plenty of opposition, but we all know where this is gonna end up.

I'm just curious as to whether or not he will end up married to TBB's Omega. [this is a huge fan theory on other sites]. I'm torn. This would be a nice dovetailing of Din and Boba's friendship: Mando joins the family, in essence. I could see that going down. AND it would be a great dynastic alliance: the new Mandal'or and the legendary Fett name, a name that makes aruetiise everywhere tremble. Yes, this would make sense.

While I highly doubt that theory, I think the BoBF series clearly showed Fett's name is not revered by anyone:lol

I actually doubt it too; I just found it interesting. Fan theories are wrong 99% of the time.

As I've said before, I pretty much ignore BoBF re my personal canon. I'm not thinking about BoBF Boba, I'm thinking about the Legends one. And his father before him.

I have ignored all SW Disney and Disney+ live action from my personal canon! I consider them part of the "Multiverse" of SW.

This is the Way. Although I allow Mando, as that show has yet to outrage my sensibilities.

The.instant it does, it too will hit the trash heap. Still looking forward to Axe's Revenge, ha.

I’ve had a great time with Mando, Boba, and Obi Wan. I like them better than the films. Probably unpopular with the rest of the fandom, but the films are like pure cheese to me. And I saw the OG trilogy in the theater as a young man. They felt less that way then of course. It was fresher then. But they haven’t aged well for me.

I was never onboard with "another" story that involved the Boba Fett mask. Before we had Mando there was Jango, Clone Wars, Rebels (with a Mando Main Character) and now The Mandalorian. Talk about milking a design!! I ask myself how "good" would The Mandalorian Show be if the main character was that young bounty hunter in the cantina and a baby (all new creature) unknown to the SW Universe. Drop these two characters as the main and its a very boring show.

Another way of looking at it is that the Mandalorian is a show mainly about… Mando and Grogu. I get though the idea that the Mando/Grogu relationship is also simply the centerpiece of a larger world that they’re building out.

Yeah, nothing Din’s done has really sold me on him yet either. Season 1 was just him cut and pasting things Boba did in various EU stuff. And he was basically outshined with every “cameo of the week” character.

But he did have the best episodes in BoBF even if it was at the cost of undermining the entire season 2 story arc. It’s whatever to me though. I’m just here for the toys at this point.

Well but... Mandalorians are important in the SW universe as a whole. And their armor is passed down thru the generations, or it can be. So Im expecting not a whole lot of changes in their design. What they have works well, and they're big on tradition. IDK if "milking" is the word I'd use. Hell, Jedi have been wearing those tunics for a thousand years...? IDK.

At the end of the day with Star Wars, all the matters is that the characters look cool.

Boba Fett in the OT is carried by his design. He’s not that great a character, loses all his big fights, and died like a punk. But his action figure sold like hotcakes. A good design can take you far.

I do think Mando as a character and a show is in a weird spot. After the epic bellyflop that was RoS (and no small credit to TLJ too), Star Wars and its fans were in a bad place. The Mandalorian came out at exactly the right time in the right format focusing on exactly the right kind of characters in exactly the right part of Star Wars history. The show was pretty much hyped up as “the Boba Fett show we never got if Boba Fett was as cool as we imagined he was”.

But it can’t be said how much the ending of episode 1 changed Star Wars and saved the franchise.

Even my non-Star Wars wife watches this show, bought a Grogu mug, and our newborn a Grogu plushie. At its core, it’s still soaked in nostalgia and callbacks - starring expies of Boba Fett and Yoda only remixed - but the focus is so fresh in a franchise soaked in Skywalkers, Vaders, and Palpatines. Focusing on the misadventures of just two characters trying to find purpose in the galaxy is all we needed… along with new ships, weapons, and characters to sell as toys.

Trailer looks fantastic IMO. The worlds look rich and deep, the mandos...well I can't get enough mandos so this is right in my wheelhouse. I love Sackoff as Bo Katan and I personally love the relationship between Din and Grogu. This looks promising. No sign of Fett though. You think he'll sit this season out?
He probably tripped and fell into the Sarlaac again. Or he's too busy taking a nap in his bath.
Or he's lounging around in his robe whilst Fennec gives him that "I'll never ever sleep with you. You're a moron" look she's always giving him.

After BOBF, it's hard to have any enthusiasm for this anymore.....

It looks good, but I won't be holding my breathe. :lol
