One sixth kit seems to be cheaper than spec fiction. Any reason to go with spec in that situation? Other than if you have rewards points to spend

i originally went with them since i had 100~ in rewards. but no point in getting them. OSK and giantoys is mostly cheaper. specfic charges tax and sometimes shipping. its probably less of a hassle to get replacement parts from them but osk and giantoys are equally pretty reliable

Isn't SpecFic $70 cheaper than OSK for the Deluxe All-In?

It's approx. $920 shipped at SpecFic (vs. $990 @OSK) if you do Full Pay and factor the 3% discount (no tax if paid through that method).

I'm waiting to see if Giantoys post their listing (before I place an order) but usually their prices are mostly on par with OSK so I'm not expecting much of a difference.

OSK is a flat 990 shipped, out the door

i checked spec's pricing earlier when putting the "all in" cart, it came to 1017.80 with tax. 949 before tax. but they offer free shipping this time it looks like. but 60-70 in tax fees.

since spec carries their stuff through freight usually like statues, id imagine it'd take a bit longer for people to get theirs in hand as opposed to kit where he is in mainland and can just ship it directly to us. but thats all still in the air, we can't really gauge that until the figure is out but im just guessing like its sideshow or how they usually do things

I do wish they included the computer with the standard Inart Batman
It was hard decision. So I pulled the trigger on the standard AND deluxe from osk just to get the batcomputer. Regardless I wanted two Batman figures just wasn't sure if it would be a split between HT and inart. Inart is such a masterpiece for me I didn't want to pass up on the opportunity to have two. Canceled the hot toys deluxe Batman which is around the same price as a deluxe inart. Just waiting on the inart batmobile. I absolutely loved the Batman movie. Previously sold off my Arkham and batfleck batman's for this. Now I have 20 days to decide to snag a 3rd standard IA Batman

Awesome - another fan of the batcomputer (y)

I thought it would make a cool setup to have the batcomputer propped open on the hood of the batmobile with batman working on it and the driver door open so you can see inside. At least that’s my going in plan.

Is there an official date for the batmobile yet?

Some important information from a reliable Chinese collector from a FB group.

"Inart has finally show their Pattinson's Batman yesterday.
Some small information that probably you guys would want to know.
Inart SHOULD reveal their Pattinson's Batman in April but due to tons of tailoring issue and reshaping body proportion.
Then hot toys did an product update on May so the delays continues.
To them, this is a very rush reveal as they haven't actually complete yet and with tremendous of pressure from China collectors. They went with it.
The prototype isn't POSEABLE yet. There is no articulation in this prototype so no posing shown but some simple one they could go along now.
There is no RELEASE DATE as they ain't sure when they could complete it and mass producing it. Probably one of a GREAT reason to purchase because they tend to perfect it but it also became one of the WORST which we have to wait YEARS to release it. I'm expecting around 2024."

This should explain many questions that some on this thread has

The amount of Hot Toys ass kissers I see in Facebook groups genuinely scare me. There are people who will defend them no matter what they do as if they’re best friends with Howard himself. As if Hot Toys could do no wrong.

“Hey that part on Hot Toys isn’t accurate.”
“Hur Dur JuSt DoNT BuY IT Then!”
“LeTs SeE YoU Do BEtTer!”

There was someone this morning saying that they found it funny how people always complain about Hot Toys doing rooted hair but is now praising Inart doing it..

No helping some of the folks there. :rolleyes2 Not surprising on the poll though. There are a lot more casual collectors than those who want to spend more than what Hot Toys already charges. Inart is catering to the niche of an already niche group for the most part.
I mean.. the same can be said for the InArt. You have a bunch of people tooting their horn over prototypes, which we all know aren’t always reliable.

Factor in that we’ve yet to get a figure in hand but are being asked to pay a premium. At least with Hot Toys we all know what to more or less expect.

Yet everyone pre-orders and buy stuff off of prototypes for every single company, including Hot Toys

the only issue i see here is, every retailer at this moment has listed Q2 2023. assuming they want to compete with hot toys because thats their release window for their figure as well

That's what I'm thinking.. this seemed very rushed, and I see it from the headsculpts. This is the poorest quality we have seen so far, and I hope for the best that they update the sculpts because it's not on par with their gandalf and joker. That's why I also passed on the bruce wayne. I really hope they give us one more update on articulation, and make final changes. (Might reconsider the Bruce Wayne if ever)

That's a very good comparison (Bruce v Gandalf)... not in InArt's favor for this particular figure.

Not sure why they just didn't show Aragorn, Danearys, Nazgul, Legolas... or Paul (for Victor).

But again, Hot Toys has a proven track record for how long now? Almost twenty years and hundreds of releases. InArt has what four open pre-orders with no releases. Also the parent company doesn’t always have a spotless record with their statues.

Yes, but with other companies at least we know what we’ll be getting. More so with HT. At best, they’ll give us something that’s 80-85% there. Sometimes they do it better than that, but it’s rare. They also have a million releases on their name.

There is absolutely nothing wrong about being excited. Competition is good.

Some of you simply need to keep your expectations in check, there is nothing Bad about being skeptical about a new company hay has not released anything. Nada. Zero.

Remember Blitzway? Some called them the HT killer at one point, same with EB.

Prototypes are just that. Prototypes.

Remember. Queen statues are good looking, but nowhere near the perfect renditions some were hoping for.
