Wor-Gar, you can usually be relied upon for an honest assessment - can you tell me what you see/what I'm missing here?
No. I can't. You ask this too often.

For me it's an overall aesthetic thing -- the body shape, the material choices (how they react to the light), the colors, the proportions...

Okay - I see that the twice I've asked is too much! :ROFLMAO: My apologies!
I didn't really get an answer then either I note.

This is all I mean't - so the way the light plays on the figure is something I can tell is different etc. things like that - see you can play nice when you want to @Wor-Gar !

This is not a wholly equal comparison, but maybe it helps -- see posture, light on suit, materials, size of weave on plates, etc...

HT v IA.jpg

Example, look at the should bell. HT is shiny like plastic... IA reflects like metal.

This.

And the body posture is night and day. Inart looks like it's physiologically accurate, while HT still looks like a TTM body.
This...and it's not like HT has the best history of being able to fully capture proportions correctly either...BVS...TDK....Captain America...Superman....and so on and on and on

As good looking as this piece appears to be as a prototype, I’m still keeping my HT preorder. I’m in the camp that has yet to be swayed to the InArt market. Their prices still have me on the fence and I’m not seeing anything that really has me sold yet. I’ve also never been a fan of rooted hair so that’s not going to push me over the line.

off topic, but thank you for the creg BD armored batman head. it was well received and shipped safely

Okay, I know I might sound like a broken record at some point - but can someone tell me specifically what it is about the Inart figure that is so much more obviously better, will blow the HT away, will make the HT look like a cheap mesco/doll/other derivative etc.
I see a lot of this hyperbolic and emotive language but I just want some clinical observations to help me see what others are seeing.
This isn't me trying to hate on the Inart or harsh anyone's excitement - I just want to understand.

I've been looking at these videos for a while, comparing them to Inart and then comparing them both to what movie stills I could find and I really, genuinely can't see the transformational difference between them.
So can someone please look at these videos (I advise muting them for the sake of your sanity) not the HT blogger pics (which are infamously bad) and tell me what I am missing.

The only things I can spot myself is:
1 - The Hot Toys cape is a little longer which seems more accurate to my eye
2 - the chest plate which is.... an interesting problem because in every still from the movie I've found its looks slightly different, in some it looks flatter like the HT and in others it looks bulkier like the Inart, In some it has a kind of sheen to it and in others it looks matte.... I can't figure it out. In any cast the chest piece on the HT needs to match the abs pieces more.

You already asked this exact same thing before and the answer is still the same from the teaser.

Inart has a better understanding of photography, proportion, lighting and material accuracy over Hot Toys. Doesn't mean Hot Toys version is bad by any means but their version definitely looks more stylized or "toyish" because of this when compared between the two prototypes. Inart's version just has an instant "1/1 life-size dude in the Batman costume" feeling when you look at it. I just don't get that feeling at all from ANY of Hot Toys photo presentation of the figure, videos included. You can chalk that up to their more shiny/plasticky finish on the suit, the more inaccurate proportion and also their exaggerated colorful lighting.

Just look at Hot Toys shoulder pads and also the ab section then look at Inarts. You get some really nice material wear and finish on Inarts version. Scratches, wear and a better sense of scale on them. Hot Toys shoulder pads are more flat and generic with how they did their finish. No wear, no scratches or detail on it. Same goes for the ab section. Hot Toys abs are very flat. Compare it to Inarts version which has subtle weathering and even has that slightly wrinkle texture throughout it.

That "dude in a 1/1 suit" feeling stems from Inart having a better attention to detail on aspects like that. Their Batmans figure's proportions is better + has better material accuracy. Combine with that with a more studio photography lighting setup and you get a figure that both looks + feels like the real deal.

Okay - yeah I am starting to see what you mean - the shoulder bells do look a little plasticky in comparison.
The chest plate is a LOT different between them - like I said in my post above I'm not sure which is more accurate in terms of size, but the Inart looks nicer nonetheless
This might sound odd, but it never occured to me before looking at this comparison - but are the pouches on the belt oversized on the HT? they look massive from the angle of this photo and that is still the case when I look at the video.
There is also, in colour terms a greater difference between the boot and trousers in the Inart than in the HT, which makes the boots stand out more, the "tucking in" of the trousers is also really smooth to the point of hard to notice on the HT - not sure what to make of that.

Ahhhhhhh - I really do think I see what you mean now...

It's still all very speculative, but the one thing that stands out are the apparent proportions on the Inart figure; everything looks more natural to me. The unmasked Wayne likeness looks better on the HT version, at first glance. Inart cape looks a little weak lengthwise but drapes nicely on the shoulders.

Hopefully, they'll add some length to the cape before it goes out. If not, Jaxon is going to make bank on capes for this guy ;)

Since some people are wondering the edge inart has over hot toys it's on the very small details.
Here is what I see

Inart
- traps cape collar is a much more accurate in size
- ab plates are thinner and crispier w/ weathering
- Smaller bicep armor, it's more accurate
- Smaller and tigher pants like in the movie, hot toys a little bit more baggy
- shoulder pads! big one, inart seems more accurate in size, but still something off, it needs to be longer in my opinion.
- Belt looks better in material choice
- Chestplate is the right material with weathering. In the movie, it's only shiny during the rain, indoors it's more of a matte material, also BTS footage shows us.
- Cowl eyes are more accurate to the movie, hot toys has the owl open eyes which is a rare expression.

Hot toys
- I do actually like the cowl texture more in hot toys, its more rubbery. IA has too much of a leather grain and that's not accurate at all. (too prominent)
- Shoulder pads are longer, but not sure if it's the right size
- Neck is longer, and overall physique is buffer, but also not really accurate to the film.
- side note: His bruce wayne headsculpt is much better than IA, the likeness of his face is on point, while IA has a gigachad jawline.

The rest like the hands, gauntlet, boots don't have significant and noticable differences so far, but yeah still both great figures.

A very fair point.

Hot Toys version is still great but Inarts presentation of their figure gives it that extra "oomph" that Hot Toys version lacks, both in presentation and the actual figures proportion/material accuracy. This has been the case for all of their figures now (Joker, Gandalf and Pennywise).

Well I did apologize in case I sounded like a broken record didn't I? :ROFLMAO:
The promo pic was so dark I really didn't see (in the literal sense) what got people so excited.
I do think I am starting to get it though and these side by sides pics do help a lot so thank you and @Wor-Gar
I almost wish I wasn't understanding though - I am spotting more and more differences now where before I was blissfully ignorant.
But I suppose I literally asked for it.
Hmmmmm now I have more to think about.

It's still all very speculative, but the one thing that stands out are the apparent proportions on the Inart figure; everything looks more natural to me. Too true! None of us know how this will turn out in production - but I will say its a sad state of affairs that such a trusim applies nearly equally to Hot Toys despite the many years they've been in business as it does to a company that didnt exist a few months ago.
The unmasked sculpt to my eye still looks more like Pattinson in the HT - but the Inart one is still very good, especially the rooted one - perhaps a slightly idealized PattinBat?

Since some people are wondering the edge inart has over hot toys it's on the very small details.

Really appreciate the list mate! As one of the aforementioned "some people" (in all probability the most vocal and annoying of said "some people") I thank you sincerely.

tldr for the above:
Sorry for being a nag, Yes I see the difference now, Now I can't unsee it, I hate you all because now I'm tempted to spend more money, no I don't really hate you I enjoy having my addiciton enabled. Hot Toys sculpt still slightly better. Need to consider my options.

i think the cape is pretty accurate, does feel a little shorter but not by much. all im banking on is not having to pay for a jaxon cape if i order inart's figure lol unlike hot toys where its almost a ritual to order a custom cape because theirs are dog crap

on another note, hot toy's signal is very underscaled. thing is a chonker of a signal, but not as big as bvs's signal
