Boba Fett
“Holiday Book of Mandalorian Fett Special” version 1.
This cured my itch to have an Animated Fett and ended up representing all of the incarnations within the title. I strayed from doing a straight up Animation style Fett. These colors and arrangements were just speaking to me, figure-wise (yes. I will seek therapy if there’s any more “speaking”).
-3D printed Helmet. I scaled this down from a 1:1 scale file. It’s thin and I would love to be able to thicken it up for durability.
-VTS body/arms, Hot Toys chest, Mando Fett neck attachment.
-HT OG Mando Chest Armor, Shirt (darkened).
-HT Deluxe Mando Vest, Waist armor, Rifle.
-HT Deathwatch left thigh armor (2), mounted on hips. Gauntlets/Rocket added. Belt, w/added pouches. Jet Pack.
-SSC Mythos Jet Pack Rocket.
-HT 40th ESB Fett Belt Pouch.
-HT Shoretrooper Captain Kama.
-SSC Boba Holster/Pistol. I think the Belt is from a SSC Pirate figure.
-HT Mando Fett Collar/Back armor. Boots.
-HT Capt. Phasma Shoulder armor,
-VTS Starship Pants. Stripped & dyed brown.
-HT Vintage Fett Wookiee Scalps.
-HT Jango Girth Belt. Knee armor.
-SSC Jango Fett Hands.
I was surprised how well this fits in with other figures and it’s become one of my personal favorites! Out of any figure I’ve put together (I think), this figure has the largest variety of sourced parts.
Still to do:
-Repaint Jet Pack and add Pointy Rocket with fins (SSC Mythos).
-Replace Gauntlet Rocket with a Missile from random model kit.

That's way too cool! How'd you do the mottling on the yellow chest piece? Gives it a really cool realistic effect.

After the base coat, I hit it with a little airbrush over spray, then go back in with a wash (mix of matt varnish, paint and just a little water.

Why not add some Apoxie Sculpt to the inside of the helmet, if you want to add heft? I hear ya about the thinness of some 3D printed stuff.

Time for another Fett Body Mod tutorial. As I don’t always have the same parts and I like to source from what I already have, I’ll Frankenstein together something similar for my other Bobas. The main goal with Fett is to add some height in the waist area, making more room between the cod piece and the chest armor. You want that chest armor to ride high (like a Bantha).
-VTS chest rig and arms. If you want the chest armor to hang in a looser fashion, just use the neck and shoulder blade portion of the rubber top. Cut away the rest (I did this on my prepro1 and ESB).
-Replaced the VTS neck peg with a modified (to fit) HT peg, inner HT neck and peg. This lowers the neck a little and the stock VTS can make the Helmet sit to high. Cut some length from the top of the rubber neck.
-HT wider waist/groin. The HT waist peg allows the VTS chest rig to plug in perfectly. This is where the height is added in the middle.
-Boba Fett legs (any of the OT Fetts). Replace the ankle pegs one size up from the short stock pegs.
- HT Jango padding. You can use similar padding, but I like how this particular one fills out and holds the cod piece in place.
Now you have a better proportioned Fett with increased height.

Luke Skywalker
This is my favorite version of Luke. To me, he was never more interesting than he was in ESB. I also love most of the character designs from this film over the others in the saga. I usually stick with masked and/alien characters within the Star Wars universe, but Hot Toys really did a great job on the likeness for my fave version of Luke.
Originally, I was just going to try thin down those shoulder/bicep area and make the shoulders sharper. When I had the figure in hand, I also saw the need to raise the height of the neck. The suit is very well tailored, but a little small to do exactly what I originally intended. Adjustments would have to made to get the overall look I was going for. Also, I wanted something in between the pristine-disheveled look. Subtle.
Body
-DID slim, short body.
-Removed rubber chest.
-Replaced the inner neck peg with a modified HT peg.
-Replaced forearms with HT, modified forearm to bicep joint. Will replace with flesh colored forearms at some point.
-Shrink tubing on ankle pegs for a snug fit.
- Can’t remember where the custom hand is from (aside from my “Box O’ Hands”).

As always…there are revisions…
I went back in to adjust the elbow joints, shortening up the arms a little. I put the rubber chest piece back on and it looked good. It’s very thin at the upper shoulder area, so I didn’t loose that much of the neck.

That weathering is beautiful!! How did you accomplish that??

Wonderful work, it turned out perfect for that just arrived in Bespin "it's a trap" look. I agree with the ESB sentiments, it's the fav of the saga. Thanks for sharing McHaleyArt!
