They don’t have a picture of Cad Bane on display so here’s Todo.

if it deteriorates, it’s just battle damaged.

I guess we can all just start calling the holes we get in our clothes battle damage then. :lol

The hands stand out to me. Don't know if they need some weathering or what. Darker paint, or maybe they need to be more in shadow. I still like this better than the live-action version.

Non removable hat is kind of odd. No impact for me, as that’s how he would be 100% of the time anyway

Can’t lie, that proto looks solid, but what a terrible pose.
Yeah, I mean why would you spend any time putting your best/newest piece in a decent pose when the rest of the line is **** and this is your only chance to wow customers..........one word Sideshow.....

I see he also mentioned they had the files from Lucasfilm......and yet they still **** the headsculpts up !!

Clearly cut costs on tooling and that's what came out. One word......Sideshow......

They mentioned that before in their Obi-Wan and Anakin video I'm sure, I dunno how the got it so wrong.

For me they had the head sculpts right. The prototypes for Anakin & Obi-Wan looked really good, great even.

It's the final production piece that suffered. It turned out nothing like the proto. That's on SS for using either really cheap tooling and manufacturing, or just not caring. That's where they dropped the ball. The figure production samples never should have been approved. They both shrunk and softened all the details waay too much. They should've been redone. But that would've caused delays and probably ensued higher costs.

It'll be curious to see what happens to the final production pieces with Yoda and Cad Bane here. Ahsoka's head sculpt and clothing is already iffy even before production samples.

I don't think the Obi-Wan sculpt looked all that great to begin with honestly, and the gauntlets looked like they'd been hit with primer or something. Anakin looked really good in the prototype.

It's been a looooooong time since I've bought a SS SW figure. I started at the beginning with them. The bodies flopped around like the fish at the end of the Faith No More "Epic" video. Then at some point they converted to a HT similar hybrid that was an improvement, but still not great. Proto to Final is still a let down.

Then I see on figs like Obi Mythos, they cheapen out half way with 90º arm bends (HT is guilty of this too with Armorer)
For those that have purchased more recently, do they still fail to hold a pose? Is the 90º arm bend now standard? Bottom line - How's the body quality these days?

The curse of Sideshow bodies...

I love Cad Bane's animated design but no way in hell I'm pre-ordering this from Sideshow even if I am tempted, I don't even own any SW figures and fear if I get this I will then want to get a Boba and then fall down the rabbit hole :lol, same applies to Hot Toys's version but I don't find the live action design as nearly appealing as this but it will certainly be a way higher quality release than this.
