Welll…she has the same looking armor like Gideon…Daughter? Obi wan is young in this …she would have to be at least be aunt, wifet or mother or relative older than Gideon by OT timeline

Oh yeah, I'm thinking Mando timeline.

What this Inquisitrix's name anyway, do we know yet? Something creative from Disney I'm sure, like Sasha?

How many flashback scenes from the PT will be shown in each episode..if you really think about it out of three D+ series on SW so far , this is the one series they can show PT footage like the trailer because of Ewan and Hayden.

The Youtubers made an interesting fact..at this point in time Obi wan doesn’t know Anakin survived so when Obi Wan sees Vader in this…wonder if he knows it’s Anakin

BOBF had flashbacks but they didn’t do anything interesting or substantial with them at least not with Fett.

Grogu’s was ok I guess.

The PT need quality flashbacks to flesh out their friendship more hoping they do that.

But I doubt it lol

**** me, so Lucasfilm genuinely think that SW fans are racist and are actually telling their employees this???
Nothing to do with the fact that some fans just didn't like their movies.
I must be racist because I didn't like Ruin Johnson's script for TLJ... wait a minute, I'm white?! What does that make me???? Of course, an "ist" or "phobe" or some other vile label they want to throw at fans for not loving their (sub-par) products.
Man, oh man, Lucasfilm should release a handbook on how to incite division. :slap

Even if they do think this, why even put this out to the media? Do they already know there will be a backlash against the series because it so heavily "subverts" expectations?

This seems to be Lucasfilm's go to defense these days. They appear to believe playing the race card gives them a shield to hide behind if the series is seen as a disappointment among the fandom. Like you said, my concern is also the fact that they let the media run with this narrative, makes me have the gut feeling they know this show will be divisive so they're setting up their barricades now in order to deflect criticism.
Three days to go......

Obi-Wan would know Anakin survived because he could feel it through the force. He also knows that 'Darth Vader' is Anakin's Sith name in ROTS. He probably hasn't seen him in the armor though.

Well the recent trailer is spliced together with Vader’s armor being put on with Obi sensing it ..so true :horror

Deborah Chow...
It’s interesting because his last words at the end of Revenge of the Sith are, ‘You’re my brother and I love you’. There was this obviously incredibly strong brotherly love and this bond between them that had been established in the prequels. At that moment, [Obi-Wan] thinks he’s leaving [Anakin] for dead, and then we’re picking up coming out of that relationship. So, it’s an intense emotional relationship that happened between the two of them. And part of what we’re exploring is that weight coming in and that loss and feeling that he had put him down. So that’s something we really wanted to explore through the character of Kenobi.

I wonder how they will "explore" that weight? Star Wars is not known for deep exploration of complex emotions. Fans do... but not very often the source material. There's a lot of "reading into Star Wars" going on in the community.

I think by 'explore' Deborah meant having Obi-Wan greet Anakin with: Well hello there.

It's like poetry.

I'll be really happy to pull my head in if this thing is good, but the closer we get to the release the more I fear it's going to be another clusterf**k.

Therefore, I'm nearly ready to state - if it is good, I'll dance the jig naked down the street.

Nearly...

Knowing modern Disney they'll probably say that they were secretly partners/lovers; hence their "intense" emotional relationship.

Nothing would surprise me these days...

You just know that idea has crossed the minds of the story group at some point.
Chow- "... a new dimension that could ultimately reframe the way fans look at their classic duel in the original movie."

Be prepared for fandom's ability to reinterpret anything to see exactly what they want.
The new Finnpoe:

#Benakin.

When they finally meet again:
The heavy breathing, followed by Well hello there, will have a whole new smarmy tone. :lol

I wouldn’t get defensive about this because, well, there is an element of truth here. Repeatedly throughout history, Star Wars “fans” have been toxic and racist towards cast members. There absolutely was legit racist rhetoric directed at John Boyega, Kelly Marie-Tran, and other minority actors and creators over the years.

This didn’t affect some other actors though if the characters were liked. Lando didn’t get much backlash, but Lando was also a charismatic, well-written, well-received addition to the cast. When the story and writing fails a character, it’s much easier for racist “fans” to get vocal and use the legit criticisms as a shield.

It does exist. I won’t deny it. I’ve experienced it. It sucks. Let’s just hope the writing is strong enough to drown out the bad faith arguments.

^Exactly!

So ...?

The actual racist fans who used the - but their race is what makes them special, how dare you not automatically love their characters and their story, - as a shield to deflect criticism of absolute garbage character plots and story telling... :lol

Me thinks Star Wars romance has always been… uncomfortable…

That was a "romance"? :lol

Finn had the strongest new character set up, his best arc would have been balancing his own won freedom, against going back across enemy lines defeating Phasma to win back his fellow Troopers.
Swaying those he could to his new cause, and championing and leading them to freedom and the Rebellion side.
That interesting set-up and character drive, should have been his own unique, and epic hero arc.

That was squandered to give TLJ fans their beloved Chihuahorse rescue instead. :lol
