Ok fine. Take a figure such as the old Sideshow Anakin which is notorious for rotting. Not all old Sideshow pleather has broken down like that.

Plus saying that all pleather is the same is just obviously a ridiculous statement. It would be far more accurate to say in general that it is a notoriously problematic material.
Not problematic. It just needs extra steps to make sure it doesnt deteriorate. It needs extra care in comparison to like cotton.

Its like leather seats in my cars. I have to apply leather conditioner so it doesnt start flaking and cracking. That doesnt mean its "problematic".

Definitley going for the Toys Era version. They make really good figures and the JazzInc is just way too big for me. I already have 2 Spider-men, Venom, Doc Ock, Green Goblin, Mysterio and New Goblin on my Spidey shelf in my big cabinet. I'm gonna get the upcoming Lizard, Electro and Carnage as well so shelf space will be getting smaller and smaller, which is why the smaller wings are perfect. I love Spider-man so much i have to get all the villains, god help me i just know someone is gonna announce Sandman in a couple month as well!

I wasn't a huge fan of the Vulture look. It was practical and worked well in the movie, but would never pay $400+ for a figure (which is what HT would charge). However, the TE version is priced well and the smaller wings will make it easier to display.

Edit: Looking at the Air Predator, I may be leaning in that direction. The head sculpt isn't as nice as TE, but other than that and maybe the collar, it looks like a nicer overall package. I don't know anything about the company though.

Is it likely that it will meet it's Q3 of 2022 release window?

For what it's worth, Kit did comment on FB that he's familiar with the people behind Eternal, and their work is pretty high quality.

I’ve got one payment left, and then the shipping :( , on Joost’s version. Should I cancel his and go with this one? It’ll free up $650 AUD… this one won’t be more than $350 AUD right?
Of course it is not my money, but even though these other versions look pretty cool, I personally like the overall look of Joost’s version more. So I would get whichever one you like the most visually. Yes as some have pointed out there is a considerable price difference at play here, however I always get the item I think looks better or is better quality because over time I think the initial price difference is less and less important …my 2 cents

Ooops I didn’t see that you had already decided. I hope you enjoy your figure when it arrives. 😁

Haha that’s fine. I appreciate your two cents.
A number of factors went in to me going the way I did. It definitely wasn’t a light decision let me assure you… I’ve been paying off and being super pumped for JazzInc’s Vulture for 13 months… so I feel I had a personal connection with the product…
but a few things:
1) I had to cancel due to the shipping… it was just too great a hurdle to overcome and I’m a little embarrassed that I completely missed the part of how much the shipping would cost.
2) Not only was the figure going to cost me close to a grand AUD but I would need to get a custom built cabinet to comfortably fit him in (I’m not a posing outside of a cabinet kind of guy), my quote was for it was $1800 AUD… I came to realise that the Joost version was just too big. This way with the TE one I can actually display him nicely in my double detolf.
3) Thirdly, I trust Toys Era more than the Eternal brand… I don’t know anything about them and laying $340 USD down on an untried company is fraught with danger imo.

It’s been a tough decision and I feel awful I’ve bailed on Joost so close to the end, but ultimately it’s my collection…

Yeah, I did the same thing, except I used the money I had put onto the Iron Scavenger to get the 1/12 BvS Batmobile, so I feel less awful.
I do feel that I might have caused you to cancel by telling you the shipping cost...

Correction. You didn’t cause me to cancel… I would’ve found out sooner rather than later haha.
No, you merely alerted me to what I should’ve known all along. And for that, I thank you.

So you actually canceled your Jazzinc order after paying on it for 13 months? Did you get any kind of refund? I understand your issue with the size and not wanting to display outside of a cabinet, but at this point wouldn't you have been better off taking the hit on shipping and getting the Iron Scavenger so you could sell it and recoup most of that cost? Without a refund your actual cost for the TE version is $340USD + those 13 months of Jazzinc payments. Assuming a 15 month payment plan (I believe that's the max with Jazzinc) and current pricing that means you've already invested over $500 into your Vulture (or @$475 if you ordered before the price hike).

I did. I received everything I paid except $100 non refundable deposit. Re-selling it would mean charging the buyer for shipping (from all reports the figure is heavy)... plus the added stress of trying to sell it. Nah, I'm comfortable with my decision.

Oh OK, that's a different story. I wasn't familiar with Joost's cancellation policy. $100 is definitely worth it to not have to go through the bother of reselling & shipping it. But FYI - the Jazzinc shipping box for the Iron Scavenger is just large - it's not especially heavy. But I believe when calculating shipping cost carriers factor in the dimensions as well as the weight, hence the high cost.

Did you have to message them for the refund? I canceled on the website but have not gotten anything back yet.

I like movie Vulture look but, I can see why Hot Toys never solicited it and on into production. They probably didn't want the QC and logistics headache. I'll be making my own Vulture, some hybrid between movie and comics.

I emailed them only. I recall reading somewhere on their site that you have to email them.
