There are very few characters I wouldn’t want which is a scary thought.

Trying to prioritise my preferred release order;
I’ll leave out the ones already done by SSC as, although I’d upgrade my Wolverine in an instant, I’d prefer to see other characters tackled first. Guess I can’t include Beast either which is a huge shame.

SooSooToys is all over the place with IPs, but if they continue nailing 90's Jim Lee inspired figures, they will be making some good money. Cyclops, Wolverine and Storm would be my top wants. Magneto too. Not sure if a Colossus would be in the cards for them.

I would love to see all the characters you mention here made! I would also love to see Bishop, Jean, Cable, and Prof. X

SooSoo has a ton of potential with this line, but they also have 4-5 other lines going at this point such as Watchmen, The Boys, and Invincible. So I wouldn’t be surprised to see other Unlicensed companies hopping on board.

But SooSoo really do seem to be top of the 3P food chain now so I’d always be expecting them to top all the others.
Their Gambit is so good it’s basically put me off committing to any future SSC offerings too.
I just need some confirmation that SooSoo will be doing many more X-Men so I can ignore SSC altogether.
Then I’ll only need Sideshow or another 3P to make me a Beast; fully-furred would be awesome.

Sorry to hear this gmoney, that seems like a long time for something to maintain that status. I hope that whatever is holding things up is resolved soon and your Gambit arrives …I think you are going to like it a lot

It would be interesting to see how SooSoo would handle a fully spandex costume character like Cyclops or Magneto. I could be wrong but I don’t think have as of yet.

Weird that you guys are having so much trouble with kghobby. Mine shipped on 01/18 and I got my Gambit on Friday 02/04. Similarly, I got my MasterTeam Geralt figure from kghobby not too long ago in about 2 weeks also.

This is one figure where I don’t think a seamless body ‘upgrade’ is all that necessary or impactful.

The improved range of articulation and strength of joints will be great for achieving and maintaining dynamic poses over time but, visually, the change isn’t really noticeable.
Compared to SSC Cyclops and Wolverine who’s toyetic knees, elbows and arms could all be ‘fixed’ by going seamless- which also filled their costumes out much better- this guy looks perfect fresh out of the box to me.

I personally do it because, I hate the stock body and I enjoy modifying all my figures to my liking. I don’t think I’ve ever owned a figure that I didn’t upgrade the bodies.

The demand is definitely there for SooSoo—especially if you look at all the crazy requests pouring into their FB fan page. At this point I think they’d have zero problem selling through 500 figures per X character. I think the main issues are direction, capacity, and risk. They’ve taken on multiple lines and have a bunch of figures in the pipeline. I don’t know how scaleable their production chain might be. They’re also probably trying to stay off the radar as much as possible, as I’m sure they’re squarely in HT’s and SS’s crosshairs. They don’t want to get taken out like Toys Era. Even though TE simply regrouped under a different name(s) it was still a hit that has taken a toll. In this situation it might be smarter for SooSoo to preemptively release each lines under different sub brands since it’s far more difficult to go after 5 or 6 smaller companies than one larger one. Conceivably, SooSoo could set up sub brands for The Boys, Watchmen, Titans, comic DC, comic Marvel, etc. As long as they’re using the same workflow and production/supply chain, the results would be the same. Most collectors will be able to figure it out.

Speaking of comic Marvel, while the MCU Avengers designs have become pretty iconic, I’d really like to see SooSoo’s take on comic versions of Thor, Captain America, Hawkeye, Black Widow, Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver, Hulk(s), Ant-Man and Wasp. They could also use a 1:4 body for a Giant Man/Goliath. Hot Toys’s classic Iron Man would be great if those clear parts were removable. However, I won’t be surprised if someone recasts that one.

got him in the other day and finally got to open him up. he's awesome! had to warm up the hands to swap em out too but between mafex and the sideshow pf, i think i'm gonna keep this figure with a simple power effect rather than the card throwing power effect.

Bruh getting these hands on is hard af, even with the hair dryer lol. The wrist peg itself is just too big for the opening in the hands. Kinda sucks that this is the case because now this is going to limit how much I want to repose him in the future.

Mine just came in yesterday and he's definitely an awesome figure. Got rid of mostly all my marvel figures except for HT deadpool, HT Venom and Toys Era Juggernaut. Excited to see what soosoo has in store for the xmen line.

Mine came in Saturday. Was a Super Happy Surprise! I'm in Texas and we got hit with Winter Weather the last couple of days, and when it finally cleared Saturday, My tracking was all over the place. First it said it was out on delivery, and we had to run make an errand and I hear my ring front door chime on my phone, and I'm thinking, snap, that's my figure, hope no one steals it. Finally get home, and it was something else.
Saw my tracking went to "left at post office" where you can pick it up, but the post office was already closed by then.
So I was ticked off cause I thought I was gonna have to get up real early Monday to pick it up.
At around 8 pm, one of the kiddos brought me a box that was on the front porch...the post office did deliver it!!!

I say this, although its still fun getting new figures, many times I'm not as excited as I used to as you get a little jaded sometime after collecting for many years. But I was giddy and dancing when I got this figure.
Maybe I'm a little bias also as my namesake say, I'm a Gambit fan, lol...but this figure is beautiful!
And he looks great in whatever pose you do.
Since I have the XM Gambit in a dynamic pose, I have this one in a museum pose.
I'm waiting on some adapter for my camera/ipad, will post pics in the next couple of days.
