I'm starting to have a bad feeling about the prices. I can see them going "lmao diecast tentacles/glider" and charging upwards of 400 for both Ock and Goblin. I'll probably have to choose only one of them. At least at first, until they start announcing the DS2/Batman/MK/Kenobi stuff. We'll see. But I expect them to charge out of the arse for these.

You don't even need the "diecast" in there. Just "lmao tentacles/glider"

Same these new hot toy prices are getting out of hand . I expect like 450 for ock and 390 for goblin. Lizard would be 450 aswell.

And those extra packed in items will push the box size/weight up enough that trying to get the figure for less from Hong Kong won’t be doable when they tack on $100 for shipping.

That said, I am hoping for optional extensions to make the tentacles longer or shorter as desired.

Well said. Sadly...

Im going local these days so I save on shipping, but yeah, that's another thing to factor. Taxes and shipping cost about as much as a figure these days. It's crazy when you sit downa nd think how much this "hobby" costs.

It's gotten ridiculous at this point. These are all literally plastic toys. And they keep going up and up as if we're buying gold or something. I've said it before, but it irks me when I pay more for a less-wanted figure than an absolute must-have (according to my wishlist always). I wonder what I'm even doing when I'm contemplating dropping half a grand on a single figure, while in theory a Vader, who's in my Top 10 Characters ever, would cost much less. This collection began as a way to get my favourites. I can excuse the odd 'filler' figure here and there for a display or two. But Ock & Goblin will be around a grand if I factor taxes. BCS's NuWho Doctors pack is around 2K. These prices just seem astronomically big for what essentially amounts to just toys. I was at the Blitzway Paul Atreides statue thread and made a post along the lines of "man, cool statue, I wish I had the cash" when in reality it's like 2, 3 HTs depending on how they're priced. And that's just nuts. Not the equivalent, but the fact that I, a relatively ordinary person, with everything that is happening around me, is "planning" to drop Ks on a myriad of plastic toys. At some point it becomes embarassing. I'll never be ashamed to own my favourites, but this is starting to remind me of the time I had a 90€/month pull list, and how most of those comics sit in cardboard boxes somewhere.

I feel that the more movies and eventually figures come out, unless you're very comfortable space and money wise, you have to start thinking very carefully about what exactly you're "building". Justin's Collection is literally sponsored, and he still has displays that look like hodgepodges. You need to be a proper curator, otherwise you can lose the ball fast. What's the point if it doesn't look genuienly great?

I'm hoping they go all out with the Dock Ock and Goblin releases. Jut imagine a DO figure with two sets of tentacles, one regular and one with the nanotech. Plus a regular head sculpt and another with goggles, topped off with the road diorama.

GG should of course come with the glider, blades, slew of weapons, tattered clothes add-on, smoke effects; and, I think it ought to have three head sculpts!! One masked, one unmasked with a neutral/serious expression, and an additional with a malicious grin!

Just imagine!! :panic:

I mean knowing Hot Toys and their love for being lazy and reusing stuff, they will probably just reuse the super old Spider-Man 3 base.

I still have that Symbiote SM3 Spider-Man, my very second HT figure,

Seems like it is gonna be another sleepless night. Still no announcements.
I hope we'll see something later today. They do that sometimes...

They better show something soon, though. It has been 2 weeks since the last announcement and soon they'll be closed for a month for Chinese New Year.

hopefully Ikaris...

There HAS to be some sort of embargo on showing the other Spider-men, I mean Iron Studios hasn't even shown anything and you know they'll be all in on at least their 1/10 scale line. I fully expect for them to have legacy replica statues of all three but think we would've at least seen the 1/10 scale at this point...

Who decides on the embargo for Spider Man movie merchandise? My understanding was merchandise stuff falls on Disney only.
