The grass design is a problem when trying to repaint it, but he did a great job esp the texture details of the mud. But the base now as got more life to it, because he was as he was based in the UK the cost effects to the base sending it out and a good price to repaint the base I wanted to go all out, but an affordable price. Now the statue itself is a dream because of his comic book style armour and in museum pose, there is so much more potiential I can do with it

the severed HULK head its HT I know its 1/6 scale but it will work, the head sculpt was cheap and my guy who paints allot of my stuff it cost very little to repaint the head.

Now it will all been done based off on an idea Thanos murdering the 2014 avengers in endgame the writers wanted to add, and a mix of when Thanos turned HULK into his pet from the comic books

- not to mention an infinity gauntlet snap arm with maybe a couple of sculpted pieces to replace the sword and nano gauntlet switch outs, we will see when it is done and all arrives which I feel may 2021 its fully setup

This isnt my statue, just someone I was talking to giving me the progress of what its going to look like

all being sorted so I will be paying for it in January 2021

So instead of buying any of the holy trinity from iron studios clogging up space, just have pieces of their helmets, weapons and heads scattered around the base as a victory for thanos in a what IF situation, thanos is a fun character to recreate murder and blood shed around him with dead fallinf hero's, since he done it allot in the comic books

But the grass can easily be seem as rocks, look at mordor there is jagged rocks so in a way they could be seen as jagged rocks, but I'm pimping my Thanos piece now haha

I think the grass can also be seen as burnt grass or muddied grass, but looking at my un-modified base, I think your idea of rock works as well. There really aren't blades of grass in the base sculpt. Excited to see where you take this!

Yeah cheers glad you like it, yeah got allot of plans with this statue because he's in Museum Pose, and in his Armour like the comic books I feel there is so much cool ideas I want to take this, mixing the movies with his comic book history, and the idea's of him murdering the 2014 Avengers. Infinity war version is pretty good, but the endgame version I really can do allot with this piece, where infinity war version is nice but I would be limited to what I can do, the Armour has got more history with Thanos

Base arrived yesterday and the setup complete for the rest of 2020, until I get the rest of the holy trinity, the double edge blade with the helmet hanging on top of the double edge blade set on the base where the iron man helmet will be placed, snap infinity gauntlet and an extra bare arm

Statue wise that finishes off the room, but still will keep adding to this Thanos piece, will revisit this in January 2021, and hopefully its fully complete around may 2021 when the pieces are finished and arrive to me to finish it off.

Even though I have the deluxe version I do like displaying him with just the sword, now I have ordered some magnets to try and sort out the weak magnet on my infinity gauntlet arm

My waitlist for the Deluxe converted last week and paid for him immediately but nothing since...still says "processing payment". Contacted SS 2 days ago to see if there's an issue but they never responded. Can't wait to get him!

I just organized my storage over the weekend so I knew exactly where these boxes were and went and checked all 3 IS legacy statues UPS shipping label for the weight. The weight listed on the Sideshow site is the entire box, as it matches the shipping weight on the UPS label. For those curious, the weights are:

Thanos (Deluxe) - 53 lbs
Thor - 29 lbs
Cap (Deluxe) - 22 lbs

I think the IW Thanos was over 60 lbs if I recall correctly...

They replied to me saying the box had some damage (with pics) but the statue was fine. They are giving me a $80 refund because of that. In case people that are on the waitlist are wondering, they also told me it was the last one in their inventory.

The set up looks great there

It’s my fave Thanos statue, can’t wait to add dead avengers around my base, not to mention a snap arm of the infinity gauntlet and a few more switch outs being added

Yeah they did a good job with the swap-outs. I think the snap pose is my favorite because that?s him at his most defiant. They did a great job capturing that moment. But I do switch to the sword pose often.. with and without the infinity gauntlet.

Yeah it is kind of layered on. Remove the head, top layer of armor, back armor piece.. then you can remove the arms.

Here is the custom parts that arrived this week for my thanos statue, still need the HT’s black widow head to just complete the line infront of the base. But delighted now I’ve got the statue displayed with just the infinity gauntlet
