1/6 Hot Toys - Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back: Lando Calrissian (Bespin version)

I Received Lando and immediately went to check the head sculpt. Thankfully, it is very good. I'll be setting up the figure later this week and will deal with the cape and collar then. So glad to finally have the other scoundrel in the collection.

What a pain it is to get Lando in a pose where the cape looks good. Mainly because of those damn elastic straps. Not sure what Hot Toys was thinking. I would have preferred magnets similar to the Doctor Strange capes.

Mine took 20 days to get here from Hong Kong. Took over two weeks just to leave the country. I have a Shoretrooper on the way that's been 15 days so far. Post is so slow right now. Even DHL is taking 4-5 days instead of the usual 2-3.

Thanks for the heads up on wait times. I’ll stop refreshing my tracking for a while

Lando finally arrived, after being stuck in Victoria's horrendous mail slowdown. Great looking figure, but goddamn that cloak. Damn strap snapped already.

Nice, Asta. Tape seems the easiest. And you can always replace w fresh tape and it won't damage fabric.

The tape won't de-laminate the pleather? It's that almost sticky/shiny type pleather that I'm always paranoid will lift form the backing fabric.

I'm using it on the fabric shoulder and Cape underside. It's just scotch tape, may leave residue on the collar if you use it there.

Anyway, just trying to help and I know how to make it work.

Good luck to all bc this is a good figure that needs a cape fix even though they never heard of bell bottoms in China.

Hot Toys really has a weak point when it comes to capes.

Mine will likely remain in a drawer with other spare parts. Already have my Sideshow Lando set up with a cape. My Hot Toys Lando will probably be displayed "Bespin Escape" style with a E11 Blaster.

Of. Yeah, I won’t be using the cape. That thing sucks. The material is way too thick to lay properly— and just goes to show if they actually used appropriately thin material, it would have worked a lot better. Lazy, corner-cutting seams to be the modus operandi for Hot Toys. The other Issue I have with the cape is neither the collar or the bottom hem have the supposed wire in them, so no way to adjust the posing in that regard.
