We don't know anything but since T2 is a hell lot more popular than T1 I am sure they will come up with something. Hopefully this year. They are liking the T2 comments from the collectors on their facebook page. I don't know if that means something or not.

This statue is far too inaccurate for the price, sadly. A-dev and Blade3327 did amazing jobs in their quick and easy mod to actually give life to Arnie here. It's a shame that Prime 1 don't/won't see that.

While the sculpt is bad, what's more unbearable for me would be the body proportions and cheap looking clothing. Faux leather won't last long and that jacket will look shredded/peeled in 5 years or so. On top of that, it's a horrendous cut and very inaccurate to the screen used Bates. For this price, I would demand real leather. It's not like it would be super expensive to get some thin lambskin leather considering how small the pieces would need to be cut.

I have no idea why his pants are so twisted and bunched up around his thighs. It looks bad.

You know they really miss the mark when the SS Terminator PF is still better than this guy.

It's a shame their not using real leather. Let's hope the synthetic materials are of good quality and last as long as the real thing.

Whilst not perfect, I still think this looks good and it's huge in size, definitely a little over scaled, going to have a lot of presence. Can't wait to see production pieces and fingers crossed it looks as good if not better than what's shown so far.

They’ll use the same cheap pleather that hot toys and other companies use. It will last 5 years tops.

That would be a huge disappointed, esp from Prime 1. Let's hope they have thought this through and use better quality pleather. If they go cheap as chips I wouldn't be surprised if they end up getting 500+ complaints and photos of deteriorated pics of the jacket flooding in their inbox and around the internet. Only way to fix such a PR disaster is to replace all deteriorated jackets! I don't think they would want that.

They would have thought this through so lets hope they do the right thing and go solid quality so the jacket can last at least 10+ years

I don't think they care Dundee. Especially after 5 years. Maybe they will say we will use better quality leather next time.

The Damtoys T800 came with real leather for the pants, jacket and boots. This is disappointing that a large scale and expensive statue comes with vinyl.

In saying that, my Sideshow PF still looks fine after all this time (over 10 years). No idea what they used on it, but its still ok.

Exactly. These companies don’t care. If they can save $3 by using cheap pleather they’re going to.

Being mainly a terminator collector, ive had all the arnolds, from hot toys to enterbay, etc etc, and luckly none of them have had any issues as of yet! (Touch wood), some of them 8+ years, one CM that's 10+. (Silicon head fine too) Touch wood agin or something, hope it out lives me, lol. So dont see the problem, maybe hot climate areas these pleather screw up, i dunno.

I did some Googling into this topic and it's not so black and white as some have suggested here. In some cases certain types of synthetic leather has shown to last well over 10 years and require minimal maintenance compared to real leather.

Among collector communities, there is a lot of conflicting experiences about it's longevity, some having problems after a few years, others never having a problem, even after a decade. Cheaper materials may not necessarily be unsuitable, polystone is one example, even high grade (more powdered stone content) is still very affordable for companies and extremely durable if just left sitting on the shelves.

I think there is substantial differences within different types of synthetic materials used i.e some synthetic materials last considerably longer than others, possibly exceeding real leather, yet it's still synthetic. I'd say to be safe, avoid putting these near higher temperature areas, have air-cond and dehumidifier.

I'm not buying this piece so I haven't emailed Prime 1 about it. But I am getting their 1/3 predator and have asked further questions regarding the exact type of composition and materials used for the shorts to get a better idea on it's longevity. I think 'synthetic material' is not a suffice answer from Prime 1 to determine how long these things will last. I'll keep you guys updated once I get a reply, as this may shed some light on the Arnie jacket.

That said, the predator shorts may be of a different material to the Arnie jacket, so for those who are getting this and concerned about it's longevity, it might be worthwhile to do a little further digging about the materials used.

Thanks for the research Dundee!

Whatever they use for Arnie, I just hope it last. Not enough people here to get them to mail in and demand real leather or good stuff.

I think someone did ask them and they said it was synthetic leather.

That's got to be my biggest problem with this. The hair could be futzed, the pants could be weathered, but the jacket is the worst I've seen in any scale for T1 Arnold. That's a tough fix.

Terrible photos difficult to judge. Though he appears to look more older. Not a fan of the head tilt, makes him look a little laid back and chilling.

What, no pictures of the head that's supposed to be on there? Not that the BD head looks great, but it hides some of the problems.

edit Just saw a video of the regular head.....it looks amazing......NOT.......but everyone is loving this. They really don't know what he is supposed to look like. It's like me giving an opinion about the accuracy of a Freddy Krueger. sculpt. Yes, I absolutely recognize Freddy Krueger when I see him, but I couldn't begin to tell you if a sculpt was accurate or not.
