Figure looks good. The headsculpt looks 'okay'. A general likeness is there. I think if this was a 1/12 headsculpt, I would be very impressed. For 1/6, its fine. Just nowhere good enough to make me want to use it over the fishbowl.

I mean the only difference between the MCU and comic Mysterio is the chest plate more or less. Just take that off and there you go. I honestly don't see any company doing a comic based Mysterio. I feel we're lucky enough to even have this figure by Hot Toys. Mysterio isn't exactly a figure companies are eagerly wanting to do. You're more likely to get Green Goblin or Doc Ock.

We should see soon enough once parted out Mysterio bodies hit ebay and whatnot

I saw these from Jenkin Wong on Facebook. I swear there's a slight bit of a line across his forehead but it's nothing like those promo pics. The promo pics look like part of his face was copied and pasted.

Yeah, I think the lighting isn't doing the sculpt any favors in those promo pics. HT definitely attempted to replicate the creases on JG's actual forehead. The deepest one is standing out in the majority of the headsculpt photos and by itself looks a bit odd, but as he has more than one it will be interesting to see (when we get these in hand) if a few of the less prominent ones are detectable.

Huh, I'm surprised how concave the sides of his head are where I've highlighted. That was an area I thought the HT sculpt looked weird but maybe they weren't wrong.

Looks amazing, i wish i pre-ordered him earlier. For some reason i thought he'd come out looking a little boring, boy was i wrong! He's gonna look great in my growing spidey collection with Doc Ock, Green Goblin and New Goblin

Mister Wow Amazing Nice always has great lighting and camera work. Figure looks incredible here, and the headsculpt looks better than the blogger photos made it out to be.

The sculpt isn’t perfect but jake has a weird face, speaking as an artist. I think HT did a good job but it’s not winning any awards.

instant order for me since he’s probably my favorite villain. I’ll use the sculpt for a mocap version someone hopefully makes

Yeah the Hong Kong sellers all upped their prices overnight and some are sold out. This must be a hot item.

Turned out to be a pretty badass figure, IMO. Love the cape details and the Light-Up helmet.

Happy that I ordered him and like you just said, hopefully I get him
before my Endgame Cap, which I am convinced I will never get from Sideshow.
Maybe Mysterio will be delivered in time for Christmas this year??

It's almost 2022 why can't I just push a button on a remote control (or app) to light the bowl instead of having to take it off every time I want to use it which would be often with this figure. Better yet why not just use that "new" HT USB tech here as well? Heck even a button under the suit behind the cape, you know 70's tech would suffice here.

They had already figured the HS into the price. They had a blurred photo when this 1st went up for PO and then it was pulled because of licensing issues but the price never changed
