I have both the Sideshow TIE Fighter Pilot figure and the AT-AT Driver figure.
I’m happy with both.
I can’t see getting a HT version, what can they do to improve them?
A better body and less accessories and a higher cost?
No thanks.

Same here. I can’t see me replacing these 2 if HT releases there own.

The SSC TIE pilot is way more accurate then the ATAT driver. The ATAT driver helmet has quite a few accuracy issues (I really didn't like it, despite it being a beautifully crisp detail-wise and superbly painted helmet), the TIE pilot is much closer. And I really hate the gloved hands on both figures - they look like chiseled concrete, though HT often does just as poorly with gloved hands.

The bodies are 10-20% too big (tall and broad) and they are also pretty crappy quality bodies too. I'm currently modding my Snowtrooper Commander (same body) to turn it into the HT proto and a shoulder on that one broke too.

I would love to see what HT would do with ATAT and TIE but yeah you'd assume they would have done them by now - but maybe the SSC versions held them back for the past few years.

I'm kinda wishing I had picked up one of these as well. Especially now that I'm rewatching Rebels where they appear quite frequently. Plus it would have been a cool companion figure for my X-Wing Luke.

Bashing SSC for these two figures is too easy. AT-AT driver is on screen for seconds and just from shoulders up. Tie Fighters just a bit more. And with props changing during filming, not to mention between movies, it's probably impossible to get every detail right.

If you're not too picky, Hasbro did a pretty decent ATAT driver and TIE pilot.

imo SSC TF Pilot is cool. AT-AT driver is fine, but I hate it for it's boots, that guy can't stand in any other than attention pose.

Nice shots guys... looks great.
I figured HT would've taken a crack at these guys since they've been trooper-heavy on their Mando releases. Either way these SSC versions will always have a place on the shelves.

They have appeared in Mando a few times now, so I am hoping...

Love the RO helmet but cannot stand the shiny/plastic flight suit. Purchased both but had to find a fabric suit to go with it.
