So is the DX15 pretty hard to come by these days? I'm very late to this party. Considering Hot Toys is basically re-releasing the DX12, do you think the same would ever be done for the DX15?

I doubt HT will revisit Jack Sparrow, Depp is all but run out of the Pirates franchise and getting dropped from other franchises.

I'll just point out when HT released their Watchmen figures, they skipped over the sure fire winner Rorschach and gave us the Comedian and... Silk Spectre? Ht thinking is not the normal thinking, of the normal people, with normal brains. :D

Have to also remember that any release from HT or any other company needs to be approved by the licensor, in this case Disney. They booted him from the Pirates franchise when his troubles with Amber Heard became more public and now that he's been legally labeled a "wife beater" and also removed from Fantastic Beasts, I doubt Disney would allow any Depp Jack Sparrow merch to be released at this moment. Unless he wins more court cases and his name gets rinsed from all the negativity, we most likely won't see any Depp collectibles any time soon or even ever again.

Damn it, the more I see of this figure, the more I want it. I remember seeing this when it first went up for preorder and thought it looked amazing, but at the time I was new to Hot Toys and also didn't have the money for multiple Hot Toys figures.

Most of Hot Toys latest and upcoming releases don't wow me like this one. I'd love to track a DX15 down now but I don't know how much to spend. What do you folks think is reasonable? I know it retailed for $270 but that's a pipe dream now. A lot currently listed on eBay are hovering around that $550-$600 mark but as awesome as it is I cannot justify it for that price.

The DX15 is already the re released of the DX06.
I would put so much hope in a re release for two reasons, first the DX15 is already a re release and second johnny depp is low in popularity.
Probably the next rerelease will be Bespin Luke, Ledger Joker or a new T-800.

I would definitely recommend to keep watching eBay for one. I was also late picking up the DX15, finally got it this year, and was lucky to get one for a little over $400.

I like that price quite a bit better. I will certainly keep checking; hoping one pops up sooner rather than later!

This past summer I put a large number of figures on sale here at the Freaks board and one of them was the DX15. I sold most of the figures off (mostly Star Wars) but the DX15 didn't even get a nibble. I secretly was glad that it didn't sell and I ended up keeping it. It truly is an incredible display.

My main wish is that Hot Toys will revisit this line and FINALLY provide us with a proper Barbossa.

This happened to me as well back last year (2019) when I lost my job and I sold many figures. Depp is one of my favorite actors (despite all the media stuff) and none of his figures were getting a bite, but in the end I'm glad they didn't sell as I know we'll never get another Sweeney Todd or Ichabod Crane etc. I ended up getting a new job and I would HATE to be trying to pay aftermarket prices to get any of them back. I still think Sweeney Todd is one of the best values of an MMS when it was released especially considering the price it was (around $200) and you got the whole set up including the barber chair and backdrop. You can't get any of that kind of stuff these days w/o the price being close to $300.

I am so freakin' excited! I just scored one of these for $450 shipped and it's basically new. Still more of a premium price but much more reasonable compared to what he has been selling for around ebay these days.

Getting Sideshow's Child this month along with Jack makes for a great way to end an otherwise mediocre year. :yess:

So glad you were able to keep those figures, Gipetto!!

And congratulations, ShadowGuardian! The figure, heck, the entire display is simply amazing. The only problem I see is figuring out in what pose to put him in!

I got my Jack in today! Took forever sheesh but it made it safe and sound. Of course I immediately took off the croc belt and tried to get a look closer to DMC.

The strand of hair is exclusive to the DMTNT look right? He doesn't have it in the other movies? I know he gets the head at the end of AWC so I almost put it on but ultimately left it off.
