Plowing through Exodus. It's way more entertaining with Brynner and Heston. As always lots of repetition and what could be described as manipulation or "game playing" for the sake of ... .vanity(?).

Aaron playing strong from the bench.

Received it as a gift and it's pretty good so far! :D

I'm currently reading The Walking Dead 30,The Witcher 4,Sandman Deluxe Omnibus 9

I just finished Under the Dome. I'm currently reading Dead Zone and Annihilation by Jeff VanderMeer. I'm super excited to start the Rosewater Redemption. Tade Thompson's vision and voice in the Wormwood series is unique and mesmerizing. I absolutely love the world he has created.

ah, the most frustrating trilogy of all time to me.

Finished re-reading first two Witcher books by Sapkowski, 'The Last Wish' and 'Sword of Destiny.' even better the 2nd time. Just started his 'Season of Storms'

I finally read "The Unbearable Lightness of Being." I have always thought that's one of the best titles of all time but I was never inclined to actually read the book until now.

It's a mix of philosophy and love story/light erotica against the backdrop of post-war Czechoslovakia. Does that sound pretentious enough for you?

I really, really liked it.....but it's a book I should have read in my early 20s. It's a book for young people just getting an idea about the world, I think. I wish I'd read it 20 years ago.

Almost done with the Witcher book, 'Season of Storms.' I am loving it. Considering its a side adventure, it's good. I hope he writes more like this one.

Anytime a writer revisits a world 10 plus years later, I am always worried whether the book will feel out of place. Writers' styles change. They get older, more mellow, or less. The only annoying thing for me: I've had to use the dictionary more for this one than all his other books combined. He uses big words now. Or I'm dumb. LOL. But the characters feel the same. The Banter is great. Occasionally Geralt will say something odd like, 'It is I..' which strikes me as odd. Those moments are few and far between. Its Geralt, and Dandelion.

But, the book is really good. Its kinda like a Witcher 3 side mission that starts small but turns into a series of unfortunate events. I am going so slow with this one knowing there are no more books in the series. I've now read them all.

Going to re-read Blood of Elves next. Guess I am on the Witcher's "D" big time right now. lol

I really wish I spoke/read Polish. As good as the English translations are, and they are good, always heard its even better in its original Polish. But hell no. I thought Spanish was hard in High School. LOL

Does anyone read the Halo books? The newer ones?

Read the Forerunner Trilogy by Greg Bear. Books 1 and 3 were good. Book 2 was contractually obligated filler.

Just finished reading Metro trilogy (Metro 2033, 2034 and 2035) by Dmitrij Gluchovskij. I like post-apocalyptic books, games, movies and this one is just perfect. I liked it even more than The Road by Cormac McCarthy.
