BATMAN JL (3197) ed2a SR UC.jpg

Wow, that looks amazing. Great work!! I have the BvS with a custom cape but I?m still thinking about getting this one.

My only problem is the legs. Just too skinny. My BvS has some nice thicc quads. Hate the legs on this one.

At certain angles he looks like a bit of a pencil neck too. I realize Snyder and Wilkinson were toning down just how much of a jacked beast he was for BvS, what with much of the inspiration coming from Frank Miller's TDKR. But anyway, for this standard JL Batsuit especially viewed from beneath the thinner neck seems to make the face look egg shaped. By the same token, at other angles, e.g., from the side or above, the JL cowl actually looks pretty darn good too. On the whole, though, I don't like the cowl for this suit as much the Tactical Suit Batman cowl. But of course I don't have this figure to compare in hand.

Figure looks great, not sure if i'm going to get it because i already have all of the others - and then Affleck being out and all.

But yeah, figure is Aces and a huge improvement over the proto.

The photography is excellent in this unboxing video. The figure looks really good here:

And Justin of Justin's Collection has gotten his hands on the figure, here's his unboxing review:

Great review and thanks a lot for the mods!

The only thing I really don't like in the video is that I think you're intentionally displaying the Hot Toys cape to look as crap as it can look, with it splayed out all the way when he's standing and making it look all frumpy and to not drape at all. There's numerous reviews where it does drape properly with some even saying there's absolutely no need for a custom cape. When you look at 12:51 to the change in cape at 12:52 it's most apparent this is the case.

I understand why, you want to make your capes look better, but as a video labelled as a review, you putting Hot Toys cape on in such an overt shoddy manner is a bit unfair.

Again, I just want to emphasise it was a great review and it's greatly appreciated by many, I just heavily feel the Hot Toys cape was intentionally displayed to look awful.

The face plates in particular look much better than the prototype photos, which looked photoshopped or unfinished.

I broke down and ordered this. I loathe the Snyderverse, but as a lifelong Batman fan I've been struggling with the desire to pick up one of the DCEU Batman figures for three years. Ultimately, with the DCEU winding down I think I'm far enough removed that I won't just feel bitter about it with the figure on my shelf.

This figure also fixes the few issues I had with the BVS/SS version, those being the brick-headed cowl design and the, uh, rather voluptuous body, haha. The trade off is the plated design, which I could do without, but the prevalence of the plates is pretty minor on the figure, so I'm cool with it.

I'm excited to get this on my shelf. I hope the next iteration of Batman looks as good AND gets a movie I can get behind.

Wow you exist !! Of all the people I have discussed BvS (Ext Cut only) and MoS all loved them. So I was beginning to wonder who actually didn't like them.

Justice League is a whole different story of course.
