So what's the word...is it confirmed that this version of Thanos won't include the pre-bent arm?

Seems so if you look at the summary page.

I'm still not sure why they include the clenched fist gauntlet as an additional piece. I thought that was possible with the articulated fingers version. But I guess not.

I hate to be that guy but IW represents the penultimate Thanos appearance and Endgame is obviously the ULTIMATE. The Endgame figure is practically a DX figure and how many Thanos' do most truly need on their shelves. Opinions are going to split into two camps...folks who already pre-ordered the IW figure and will find the good in this honestly excellent figure...and folks who did not and will be thanking their lucky stars as they opt for the clearly better version. Both are great figures but if you want a Thanos I think it's clear which one is the better figure and representation. This one is going on clearance...Dr. Strange would have too if Hot Toys had stuck it to the customers on that one as well by putting the IW version up for pre-order before most people even had the standalone version in hand.

The first Dr Strange figure was released in 2017. IW Dr Strange wasn’t even on the radar for Hot Toys at the time the original was released.

The reason why Dr Strange 1.0 has maintained value is because it’s an amazing figure and it’s the original version of a popular avenger. I own both versions and they are both great.

Also, while many here on this board collect only one version of each character, many collect multiples or movie lines of characters. IW Thanos is a major piece to many collectors’ IW collections. IW Thanos I doubt tanks in value. I have no vested interest as I have not ordered either version, but I can see both doing extremely well long term.

There are plenty of people who have every version of Vader from HT and as much as i love Star Wars i have a hard time telling them apart. So having a IW and EG version of Thanos that look so very different is no big deal.

Have the IW dispalyed with clenched teeth and bent arm and the EG with the regular HS no gauntlet and the sword.

I think both will hold true value. The only interesting part of the data is how many people specifically skipped IW to buy EG Thanos? I'm one of them and I will not buy both. I have no doubt in my mind that nearly everyone who bought IW will by EG. As it's been said, this is THE ULTIMATE version. However, if you liked IW enough to buy it then I don't think you'll sell now. For sure a minority will sell but most people will keep both for a long time and then sell later on. By then so much time will have passed that IW version will retain its value simply for being hard to get.

I also see this holding its value. With (a) this only having been partially shipped, (b) the Endgame figure about to be released for orders and (c) both figures using the same body, IMO there’s little chance of HT over producing this one.

I’ll have all three versions of Thanos. [emoji2369]

A few years ago I would've totally thought the armored version would be the one I buy, but honestly it looks way too busy and takes away from the figure IMO, plus I'm sure the armor limits the articulation a bit too. The sword is a nice addition since there's zero accessories with the IW one, but I think I'll have to see the film to decide if it's worth it.

To me, this is the ONLY VERSION of Thanos that did the Iconic Snap. This is the version that Thanos won.

Yep, can't pretend like Thanos wasn't a badass in IW just for the sake of having to choose between one figure or the other.

I've seen that Snap so many times, and I just caught that Thanos wasn't looking at his hand while doing the Snap. He was looking directly a Thor.

This is probably just my excitement for this figure making me antsy but the shipping cost on my SS order of this finally updated in my account. Could this mean SS is expecting their next batch soon?

No. I got my shipping cost as soon as I placed my order.

That was the case for me; I’m pretty sure the shipping was added at the same time as the 14-day notice.

Finally! Now if only they’d actually release Wolf predator. It’s been 3 months and counting since it dropped in hong kong.
