Yeah Heise's repaint work on the Inart sculpt has also been great. Was tempted to do that.

I actually like how much more "natural" John's paint work is. Yuan's looks a little too clean? Almost manufactured if that makes sense. John's version has a more hand painted applied look to it.

Yeah that's why I'm saying that silicone sculpt isn't gonna sell anywhere near the asking price. The expression is very similar to the awkward expression JND did on their second sculpt. Which I think was going after the "Hit Me" expression but failed at nailing the anger in it through the eyes...

It's not gonna sell at that price. I saw someone trying to sell their Yixie/Yuan Hit Me sculpt for $950, only to have it drop to $750 after a few weeks of not selling. This was after they paid $1250 for it. The vast majority of collectors don't care to spend that much on a single sculpt.

Knowing Hot Toys, the first one announced will be the full sleeved version that comes with his mask. The sleeveless "battle damage" version will come later. I can also see them not including a maskless sculpt with the sleeved version and saving it for the sleeveless look to give people a reason...

Email their support. I see people getting a replacement order for the body and for all the sculpts. They're open to replacing whatever is messed up since the initial batch has such a big QC issue.

Preordered through Kit per usual. I do find it odd that they didn’t do a version without the backdrop portion of the base. Even if you’re not offering a sculpted hair version, it doesn’t make sense to not offer a version with rooted hair but without the fancy base for folks who preordered the...

Only thing I can think of is them including seamless swap out plastic legs. With one being in a straight standing pose and a bent one for her to sit. Pretty much a statue for her lower half. Either that or go silicone but I don't think they want to jump into that mess just yet.
