I’m such a purist, but I genuinely like the mask and covered arms look for some reason. I’m sure it’ll have enough variety to keep the display options fresh for a very, VERY long time.
You best believe Hot Toys will milk the Insomniac Wolverine game just like Spider-Man. I’ll wait for that. I’m sure they’ll do a brown suit from that too.
Grabbed the Deluxe. The most I’ve ever spent on a Hot Toy, but also the fastest I’ve ever preordered one. I’ve waited 24 damn years for Hugh to wear a comic-inspired Wolverine suit, and this just checks every box. It’s not perfect, but it’s still a slam-dunk in my eyes.
Who knows what they’ll do in the film? It’s beyond curious we haven’t seen him once with the mask despite all the official merch and promos showing it off.
Still, the figure at least is sublime. And I feel an insane amount of petty vindication saying the yellow suit with the mask would look...
Not yet… but I’m prepared for the Deluxe to get a surcharge due to a really great unmasked sculpt, the extra arms, the battle damage parts, and the display variety, along with the notion this is likely a last hurrah for Hugh’s Wolverine that pulls out all the stops.
If they can keep the price...
