I actually thought Troi looked far sexier in the standard uniform, but for figure purposes agree that the jumpsuit above would be more interesting in the display.
I don't know if I would blame Miller for the CG issues, as lots of good effects houses have closed down over the years, and the existing ones are totally overwhelmed. So this may have just been all he had access to for this movie.
I wasn't blown away by Andor (though it had lots of brilliant moments), but it was nice to have a series that was all about story and character, and wasn't simply coasting on nostalgia and our love for Jedi and lightsabers.
I thought Wheaton was great and very likable in any episode that featured him (even the early ones where he was constantly saving the day), but Wesley did seem far too naive for his age. And it's kinda crazy how much of the series had him simply sitting at the Conn station contributing nothing...
Wesley isn't super high on my list (and the big dumb grin isn't helping), but the more unique uniform does make me a lot more inclined to get him, than if he was just wearing a standard uniform. .
The mirror episode was fun for the TOS of it all, but I'm still not sure why were were supposed to care about anything these mirror characters were doing, or about all the betrayals and jockeying for power. Which still made the whole thing feel a bit flat to me.
Problem for me was that by the time they got to the good storytelling in S4, the show had already lost all credibility and I had a hard time even buying the premise anymore.
The expression does fit his rather jovial personality on the show... but I do still wish they had gone for a more serious one that was better for figure posing. And which made him look a little more badass. Because that's always my favorite Pike.
